<div class="IPBDescription">where can i get a good one?</div> the topic says it all, i run NS and it says my client.dll differs from the servers. Server is 69.12.78.65:27015, and im wondering if there is anywhere i can simply download the client.dll file and just swap them out. i downloaded two install files so far and neither works, and at one point i COULD play on this server (before it went steam..., but since then ive done a lot of changing around with my computer including re-installing operating system so i dont think its steam). Anyone know anything that can help? Thanks in advance

    I installed Sven Coop. After that I got fmod.dll and client.dll errors when starting NS.

    hey, go over to <a href='http://www.svencoop.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.svencoop.com/</a>

    it posts a fix for it. its the fmod. listen;

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->One genuine (though unavoidable) problem is a compatibility issue with Natural Selection v2.0. This is because fmod.dll is used by both Sven Co-op and Natural Selection to play MP3s... SC3.0 includes the latest fmod.dll, and it's not backwards-compatible. Ironically, the only reason we updated to the latest fmod code was to keep SC compatible with Natural Selection 3.0, which uses the latest fmod.dll itself.

    To solve the problem, download this file and extract it to your Half-Life\ directory. For NS2.0 (and possibly a few other older mods such as SC2.1), run the fmod_OLD.bat file. For SC3.0, run the fmod_NEW.bat file. Once Natural Selection 3.0 is released, this will no longer be necessary

    This usually happens when you're trying to connect to a server that's running a different version of NS. Are you sure you've got NS2.0 installed and, If so, are you sure you're not trying to connecto to a NS1.04 server?

    You get the same message if you installed a mod that replaces fmod.dll.. I'm guessing it is fmod.. I suggest reinstalling NS, or getting a fmod.dll switcher.. theres one around somewhere.. I have it..

    See <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=18&t=57456' target='_blank'>here</a> for the switcher
