  No, that only seems to blink the message across the screen after the game is loaded up. I'm talking about the text that appears when you first load a game...the text in the console.

  You need another program for that. Try <a href='http://www.adminmod.org/' target='_blank'>Admin Mod</a>, <a href='http://www.unitedadmins.com/clanmod.php' target='_blank'>Clan Mod</a> or <a href='http://amxmod.net/amx.php' target='_blank'>AMX Mod</a>
  
  I find AMX mod the best, because the plugin binaries are compatible across all platforms and there more plugins.

  Hi guys, I want to set up an internet NS server and I have no clue. Do I start with Metamod or with AMX. I've checked some links and found a lot of info, but what exactly are the first steps? Do I need a WON registration or such?
  Sorry if I'm breaking into your thread, maybe someone can link me?

  there are some guides stickied at the top of this forum that have a detailed step by step guide of how to do it.
  
  Back to the thread: I personally prefer AdminMod since it causes less server crashes than AMX. Don't tell me that it was my fault that AMX crashed the server either, this was a base install.
  
  But, I often drool at the plugins that I can find for AMX... gah, wish I had more time on my hands...
