How would you have liked it if microsoft released Windows XP, all 4 versions, INCOMPLETE. Your like ok cool, except theres a huge bug that they cant fix that makes the start menu move whenever you try to click it... Flayra --and the rest of the dev team are doing there BEST to get 3.0 released but than again that doesnt mean anything to you does it? Personnally I wouldnt care if its delayed till 2005. I want the satisfaction of downloading the game when its done, not when I want it.

"when it's done" only crops up when the developer's lives are becoming hectic, at which point it dissolves into the next situation:
Updates take MORE then 3-6 months to be made, while "BIGGIES" can take up to a year and a half (NOTE: If it takes 18 months to 24 months for one update to be made, the mod can officially be declared DEAD by it's player base.) and the term "When it's done" is used liberally, the mod is or appears to be floundering; developer's lives are becoming strenuous to ballance between mod and day-to-day life. "When it's done" is used as a cover for when it'll really come out.
Life is all about setting goals. "When it's done" isn't a goal; its a hope and dream. And hopes and dreams dont get finished unless action is taken; like setting a <b>proper</b> goal like: "January 22, 2004" + one week or two for some un-forseen event popping up. Goals give structure and organization. If a developer can't find the time to be with their family and code that last little bit and then use "When it's done" 90% of the time in posts and can't even find a fresh pair of socks . . . Why are you expecting poor ol' flayra to release the new versions at such a rediculous rate? Give the guy a break. He's adding entire new features for the entire community to play with, only to have people come back and flood this damn forum with complaints. He's doing it for free, with out expecting donations or any financial support.

Alright, this is pretty much the bottom line right here. No matter how much complaining, moaning, whining, crying, or begging a few impatient people do, NS 3.0 will not be released until it is at a complete and PLAYABLE state. What do you guys think Flayra is doing at home right now? Do you think he is cradeling his computer in his hands, wondering how long he can hold off releasing NS 3.0 before people threaten to kill him? He and the dev team (I guess UWE now) are obviously working to ship out something that is extremely high calibre and FREE to people they don't even know. You guys should think twice about this kind of generosity, and realise that Flayra nor any of the dev team owe you anything at all. Be thankful that at least we have 2.0 to play with, and if you are sick of that *GASP* play another HL mod!!!
To sum it up, no matter how much complaining we do, NS 3.0 will only come out when it will reach its full potential, and not a minute sooner. Keep your pants on and try to find something else to do before it comes out.
But, if the only people who can play NS 3.0 are people who are signed up to Constellation/Clanners then won't it be an almost exclusive clan game, like 2.01 is atm. If you send off your $20 to the NS crew then you're going to be someone who either really wants to play NS or someone to knows how to play the game really well... So to all the newbies, it's going to be extremely difficult. 1.04 seemed more balanced, towards the pubs. The public servers support the clan servers, if the pubs start to go the clans will collapse.

I've been asked by a few what certain functions of the game are (like what sensory chambers do, how to use pgs, even how to get ammo). So don't think Flarya's team is only comprised of the elite skilled and well-trained NS players; it's not.
