Ok, so he cheats. Take it up with the server admins specifically on the server he was on. We can do nothing for you here.

heh np, I'm just trying to be helpful. The server was a GAME.NET clan server, 213.221.175.100:27015, I'm not certain if CD is required, I think Game servers run with zero plugins.

May I please ask why you are posting this publicly? Cheating isn't good, but this isn't CS. Just tell the other admins you know, and have it be done with. The entire NS community is not interested in seeing this. People cheating is a private affair, not an international event.

Edit: Changed national to international, as there are people from EVERYWHERE on these forums, which is absolutely one of the coolest things ever.

Why is people cheating a private affair? They just might come onto your server on the other side of the world just to laugh at the "pwned n00bs" with their cheats.
I'd rather every admin knew so they could decide on his fate on their server.

I simply do not agree with public ridicule that comes from publicly posting this type of thing. Do you agree with public beheadings? That is the moral equal to this, in NS terms, and it doesn't seem right, in my opinion.

On a side note, I think public humiliation for cheaters can only be a good thing as long as proof is given so you can judge for yourself.

Look, I'm not asking for help, or endowing upon you my supreme knowledge of ns, all I'm doing is posting a demo of the first blatently obvious cheat I've seen since 2.0 came out. If you don't like it, fine, just ignore the thread. Several people have posted their thanks to me, so I'm taking it for granted that the negative people who posted here are in a minority.

Sheesh, you'd think I'd posted the hack itself. My suggestion to the above people is either to grow up, or go and eat a steaming cup of DIE.

This is what is going to happen in 3.0.
When players are caught cheating by VAC (valve anti-cheat system), they will be banned.
But not only from that server, but from all servers that run any valve game.

And then they have to fill out this form - I LOVE the "OK" button <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>.

Well that's one cheater down, but dont forget. There are always ways for him to come back and very easily too. This VAC won't do crap anyways since it's easy to get around it. I agree with Xzilen and Align, sure this topic might be a good candidate for the Server forums, but it is good to know who these people are, and be informed about them. And they will still get banned by server ops looking out for their servers.

Personally, I think it's arrogant to equate this to public beheadings. Is it proper for the media to broadcast Micheals Jackson's private life? Is that not a form of public beheading?

NS is a game that entertains me, and I intend to be entertained for a long time. Cheaters detract from my entertainment of the game, and I appreciate it when cheaters are called on it, because it removes one person from ruining the game for me.
