Well i been trying to find the 256th color on ms paint but i cant seem to find it.. anyways ive also tried myself to make it into a spray paint but it only shows the default half life logo when i try to spray in game.

Would someone please be nice and make the white background transparant and turn this into a working spraypaint for ns?

I also need to know which file to replace, if i remember well it was something.... .wad ..forgot <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I made a working spray for you, just stick it into your ns folder.

    There was a slight problem though, when it was resized, the letterign got smudged because it was made at a large size. I couldn't sharpen it afterward so its the best i could do.

    Use this for future reference when making sprays.

    Make sure you use a bitmap, I've had issues when I tried to make a spray out of a jpeg or gif.

    Keep in mind that after you install it, don't ever go into your comstumizing menu again. You'll overwrite the spray.

    Or you can make the pldecal.wad read only and save yourself the trouble.

    It was a bitmap 256 colors, last one pure blue.

    I downloaded this html a while ago, it's a tutorial on how to make sprays. You have the spray logo program that converts the bmp into the pldecal.wad right?

    Yes. I saved the image, set the color depth, edited the pallete, resized it to a useable dimension, changed the background to pure blue so it would be transparent, then ran it through a .wad converter. As i said, it worked on my machine when i tested it, I have no idea why it won't work for him.

    Is he going into the customize folder? Cause if he is that cancels or resets whatever custom spray he just installed.

    I am aware that going into the customization menu erases it, and so i never did so, thats why i dont understand why it not work... is it possible that the server blocked the upload of the spray perhaps? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Servers do that often. Host your own server and try to spray the logo. It should work.

    read only = write protected
    so the file can only be used but not rewriten with the standard one

    can anyone show me an in game picture of how it looks like anyways? if the font is too smushed, ill just re-make the logo...

    I think i may have found the probleme

    I dont remember where i seen this but ive read somewhere that file size shouldnt be over 12kb
    The file size is 12.7kb.. perhaps thats the problem?

    just use HLCSM to make any HLmod spray

    its so easy a monkey could use it..

    and for fixing up images i use [mgi photo suite]
    i like to work with it when im working on gif files and 265 corols

    As i said, it would work much better if you just made it at the size it should be at, resizing of any type will ruin it. So try to make the image a 96 x 96.

    The hard thing is i never made that image, i found it on an image search and just changed the writing inside using photoshop <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
