<div class="IPBDescription">A question regarding Steam</div> Well since NS 3.0 will be Steam only I thought that I might as well get used to it, so I downloaded the full version, installed it and everything seems to be fine for now.

My question is:
How can I install mods like The Specialists, AHL and the like? I am a complete newb at Steam so any help would be greatly appreciated. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Sorry but that won't work at all....
    Ok here's a list :

    1. Start Steam and install/run Half-Life (just the vanilla HL, nothing else)
    2. Load up a map, Training or just something.
    3. Exit Steam ; shut it down completely to avoid any problems.

4.a - To install "The Specialists" just copy the folder ts from "..\Half-Life\" to your "..\Steam\Steamapps\youremail@domain.com\Half-Life\" folder.
    4.b - There are full Steam compatible installer for <a href='http://ahl.telefragged.com/' target='_blank'>Action-HalfLife</a>, <a href='http://www.firearmsmod.com/' target='_blank'>Firearms</a> and even a <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=31&t=49430' target='_blank'>NS 2.0 (beta) Installer</a> available. Just download them and install them.

    5. Re-start Steam and play the game of your choice.

It's fine in my experience to leave Steam running when you install a mod.

The next time you open the games list it'll recognise the new third-party mod.
