<div class="IPBDescription">Is there cheating or do I just suck?</div> I just got done with yet ANOTHER game where I ended up being skulk and died with what seemed like two shots. Every now and then, I end up being a marine that seems to die with one bite or a skulk who dies with a few shots, and it frustrates the crap out of me. This doesn't happen all the time, in fact I thought I had a good streak for about 10 games, but when it does it happens for five games in a row.

Now I'm not one to yell "aimbot" or some kind of crap all the time, but when does someone know for real if there is cheating going on? When can you decide that the gameplay is being completely unreal?

And yes, I realize this is inviting jerks to just say "yes". I'm prepared for that.

Yes, there are ALOT of cheaters out there. NS is no exception.

With MT, trying to kind a cheater is hard, also, the hind-sight has the same deal.

No one uses aimbot anymore (too easy to spot).

There are ALOT of wallhackers only now with ESP.

Where can I find these so-called demos? I've been scouring the website a little and can't seem to find much beyond cheating death-type downloads.

Well... the unitedadmins website might be a start.

And yes, there are hackers out there. Ask around about a guy named Yolt. He's one of the blatant ones, though. He uses the most obvious speed and adren hacks, and claims that he's CAL-I.

Sob... gone were the days when there were no NS-cheats available. Sigh.

Wallhacks are pretty obvious. Go spectator and see if someone shoots through a wall. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> You can see loads from 1st person perspective; no need for demos. Go spec if you suspect a cheater, than confront him in-game. If necessary, get his ID (Steam/WON) by typing Status in console.

I had these problems when I was a newbie too. Then i watched some demos and practiced, and now im a badass skulk! <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'>

A tip: a lot of the newbies try to run around the marine in a circle and hope they'll get one lycku bite. Dont ever do that. Ever. Bite the marine once, stop biting. Back off, and bit him again if you feel you've lost him. Kinda hard to explain, and it also depends very much on the situation

If youre skilled you only have to jump on him and bite though <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'>

Well, it takes some time to learn, but its really not that hard. Watch demos!

Wallhacks are the hardest find.

People got smart and used them as a tool to plan a better attack. Only 11 y/o nubcakes use wallhacks poorly on CS by shooting through walls with the AWP. Good cheators never get caught, as long as they use their heads and have the latest cheats.

ESP is just like MT, but with a constant dot on them. It can also tell the weapon on the ground and who is where.

I used to be a cheater (hey don't attack me about it, im sick of it now), and ESP tells you the name of your current enemy, it also has the option to draw boxes on the players, tell wich guns he's carrying, his distance, where aims at, etc etc. All through wall.

I know all this by the demos seeing how its done at a cyber cafe.

We once got cheats on the computers there to test them out (the owner even helped us <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> ), to see what to look for.

In order of the hardest to find if used right.

1. ESP.
2. Wallhack.
3. Aimbot.
4. Speed hack.

I tend to trust people enough to think they don't cheat, but even i get very suspicious at some individuals.

i haven't found any demos at UA either, can anyone give a proper link of cheat demos? just to see what it looks like, thx.

I congratulate you for admiting it out in the open, it takes guts to do that.

Another thing you might want to look at is if you are getting choke/loss. I think that net_graph 3 in console should let you know. If you have high choke, it can seem that you die to only a few bullets.

Another thing to consider at this point, is the poor hit box on the skulk. In games where players don't know where to aim, you may seem like you never die, when compared to games with people who know where to shoot.

But as a nub I really got pwned the other day from some "KOK" playing Alien - god, was he good or what.. I started to get suspicious when I saw 1 vs 6 resources and within a few minutes he completely vapourized us two pathetic marines <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

But I did learn that resourses are good, hehe.

As in all games I'll stay out of cheater chasing until I'm really good and experienced (which will never happen this time <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> )

There -are- numerous factors in this game that may make some people who does not cheat seem like cheaters:

- Motion tracking, scent of fear.
- Hitbox issues.
- Clever ambushing and good usage of upgrades (silence, etc.)
- Listening for sounds (I'd rather play this game with no vision than no sound ... or almost <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'> ).
- Knowledge of the map (did he turn and look at you in that PERFECT ambush spot .. Using aimbot or has he been ambushed from that spot before?)

I would recomend getting used to the game before accusing anyone of cheating.

also a lot of new players need to be conciously aware of the current upgrades on both sides. They make a quite significant difference in a lot of situations.
