at the begining of the round start, rines start woth 0lv guns and arm. 0lv and 0 arms are poor for the sulk at the beginning. so most the rines will just got rape if they go alone. SKill is important to most of the rines
Point 1[ after u got bite by sulk for 2 times, u can go to hell]
Point 2[ if the sulk user is pro, or the distance is short, u can proly. shoot 20-40 in a few sec,if u re lucky,it will die after it bite u once, but if he is a cara sulk, u re dead.]

now, i think this skill may work in 1 on 1 to sulk[ shot distance]

when a sulk get close to u, they will properly jump and bite, before he jumps, dont move back, cuz most of mmy exp told me jump back is not so work in close battle. JUMP FoRward . when u jump forward, luck, u can jump over it and kill it. not lucky, got 1 bite or us **** was rape. but it will more safe to jump back cuz when a sulk bite, he cant see the view infront, he will just [bit e bite and bite ] till he thinks it is enough or he miss u, when he turn back, u got plenty of time to kill it.

what s ur ideas in this tech?

    its been done many times, and is a good tactic, also makes pro skulks feel a bit noobish <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> .

    Do a "strafejump" (as a bunnyhop, but only once) and shoot the skulk meanwhile. It will die without getting the chance to bite you.

    That is why the "pro skulks" as you would call it don't hold down the button and hope for the best in bitting the rine

    Really going out of line here, but I fixed the spelling + grammar a bit... So people can actually read it...

    At the beginning of the round, marines start with level 0 weapons and a sidearm. Level 0 weapons hardly damage the vanilla skulk. So a single marine ramboing off will probably get raped by a single skulk.
    Point 1 - If u are bitten twice, u are dead... Bye bye marine...
    Point 2 - If the marine is pro user it can probably shoot about 20 - 40 bullets into the skulk and hopefully kill it after the first bite, but if it's a carapace skulk: you are dead meat.

    Now I think this skill might work in a 1 on 1 with a skulk... [shooting distance, bit vague, since a lmg or pistol has no real distance limit...]

    (Totally rewritten this part, it was totally wacked)
    When the skulk first approaches you, instead of jumping / moving backwards to avoid the bite, jump FORWARD to (hopefully) jump over the skulk before he bites you. Turn around and kill it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    What are your ideas on this technique?

    step 1 : <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo-->
    step 2 <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> jump <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo-->

    [ My comment ]
    I think most people allready know this, or generally just try to avoid getting bitten <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    Note: U probably won't have enough time to think about jumping forward when a skulk gets near, because a battle usually lasts 1 second or less... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    about that tactic though, i guess i really do suck: i just collide with the skulk and die when i jump forward <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> (provided they jump too, which they usually do)

    A slight alteration; Instead of jumping directly forward into the skulk's mouth, do it at a 45* angle. So if the skulk is rushing you head on you'd crouch-jump to the right slightly and forwards, and allways remember to keep the skulk in your pov, (point of view). Once you land, run for about 1/10th of a second and then crouch-jump again. While it's true that marines can't bunny-hop you can still leap about like mad if you allow a 'cool down' between jumps. Usually the skulks will only get one bite into you before you finish them off.
    Only problem with this is that you need a bit of space, so it can bugger you up if you're in a tight corridor or you bump into a teammate.

    Also, for medium-long ranges you're better of using the pistol to pick off enemies. Much more accurate, deals more damage and in a shorter range of time. However, the LMG is far superior for those skulks that get up-close and personal.
