putting together my first "from scratch" sig ever. (started with a black background)

I'm sorry, but I didn't know that asking for HELP is ILLEGAL....for crying out loud. Isn't this the "artwork" section?
and there is no reason to insult me calling me a nub.
You guys totally miss the point. I'm asking for suggestions...how can I fix/improve it. This is my first time to do make a sig.
and as for you...this isnt a submisson...nor is it a test.
I AM ASKING for tips on how to make it BETTER. This is NOT a finished product.

I say this is the right place for it as it's not a sig for this forum, so why not? Plus for people who don't no about the stickied topic it only says "requests," so they ask here.

Suggestions:
1. remove the bold effect on the edges or make it at most 2 pixels wide.
2. the hexagons/whatever shape that is have really sharp edges, i suggest smoothing them out a little so they go well with the white glow border.
3. Very busy image with no desinct color theme. I'm seeing blues, red, greys and purple. I would have made the blue background red to match the other shapes behind the dark jedi.
4. Jpeg pixelation is aweful on the pic. I suggest a gif instead since it's not an overly large picture and with the color modifications mentioned above would be quite effective.
5. the font has horrible bold effect blobbyness to it. It's an overused effect that just ruins the text (in most cases)

I'll try doing it for .gif
and the dark jedi....well....that's the model/saber/saber color I use, so I had someone "pose", and I took a screenshot. I then used the magnet lasso tool and copied my selection, then pasted it onto my picture. Then I just touched him up a bit and fitted him into the different layers (so he looks more like he is coming out of the background). As for the saber...that's just a line with a glow effect around it...sort of a home-made saber, heh.
and as for the black/white/red colored pattern....well....it's the colors of the German flag. It's almost like a home to me.
