I'm waiting two, three weeks till the crowds die down. When I went to see FotR, some git fell asleepbehind me and started snoring for the last third of the movie. When I went to see TT, a couple of hags were talking about the film ("Ooooh, that's nasty, they shouldn't have scenes like that in a kiddy's film!". Treebeard's awesomeness shut them up, though. Ha ha ha ha ha.) I don't want to be near any inconsiderate ninnies when I see RotK.

Hmm, it comes out the 17th in America, and that's when I'm seeing it. Maybe if you're seeing all three together you can see it early like someone said, but I don't know.

...wow. People take liking a series to a whole new level if they can watch the entire series in one day in a movie theater. I mean, I once watched all three Godfathers one Thanksgiving, but that was at my home where I was more free to get up and do things while watching. Watching three three+ hour movies in a movie theater would kill me (especially if it's the extended versions...).

i don't tolerate people talking or making noise during movies. i start with saying loudly and clearly "QUIET."

and then vulgarities basically stating the same thing, 'be quiet', including Ess-Tee-Eff-You etc

and then throwing stuff like popcorn or skittles or peanut M&Ms (peanut M&Ms are best)

and then brawling outside.

but that last one only happened once, and i almost got arrested =\

Well, I do think that they have like an hour break in between each movie but still, that's not much. I don't really understand how somebody's eyes can take that.

About that 3 movie special thingy. Where I live they started selling tickets to the thing back in late July and they only sold them in person. I drove by the movie theater doing the special and to my disbelief saw a HUGE line of people out in front of the ticket booth the night before the tickets went on sale. They had everything; tents, sleeping bags, coolers, and I'm sure there were some mini-fridges in there somewhere. Needless to say the tickets were gone after the first couple of hours. Craziness.

It's the best because you see a piece of the end when Sam's yelling and there's a red tint everywhere.

Finally the 3rd chapter of the LOTR trilogy. It is going to be so ridiculously crowded. Good thing I already have a ticket for wednesday. The trailer looks awesome. I heard a rumor they cut all the scenes with Sauromon out though!!!!! He makes a great villian hope it is just that, a rumor.
• xioutlawixxioutlawix Join Date: 2002-11-05 Member: 7118Members, Constellation
Me and a few mates have tickets for the all day showing off the three movies tomorrow, gonna own :-D

Gonna make it a point to show up early so as to get good seats to each movie. They offer a two hour break between the films, to grab lunch and take a break, or whatever. Its showing at my local mall too, so I can run around sharper image like a hooligan and play with the useless trendy gadgets, and visit EB

I would go so far as to venture that this is easily the greatest trilogy ever.

I read the hobbit, fellowship of the ring, and the two towers....but I didn't read return of the king because I wanted the movie to be more of a surprise.

And what have I learned from all these movies and books?

Hey guys, in the middle of the theater now posting on my sidekick, just finished watching the first movie in the marathon, big turnout here (aventura, fl). Good start to a long day, hope everyone else who possibly went to the marathon enjoys, and everyone else who's just catching rotk likes as well.
• Cereal_KillRCereal_KillR Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1837Members
bah I really liked the first 2 LotR's but I don't know if I'm such a fan that I would go to a marathon. How long is it? 9 hours? God, I know I wouldn't stand it. I planned it ahead, I watched Fellowship 2 weeks ago, TT last week and most probably RotK this week.

What I didn't like in the fellowship is the end part, from the moment they get on that boat. It's just sooo long. The rest was just well made, but the end was quite too long. I rather enjoyed the beginning though, it's not too long and discouraging as the book version is.
In the TT, I didn't like the ents. Though that's what they really are, they're just too slow. I never liked the fact you passed from Helm's Deep to the Ents. The Ent on fire was funny though

Oh well, I'm surely going to watch it this weekend, though I still didn't see Killbill pt 1 and also really want to see it. Either that, or both of them
