EVERY COMMO SHOULD HAVE A LOOK
COUPLE of months ago i try to find a way to kill an onos with the less lost with only 3- 5 rines + 0lv guns + olv arm. now i find a great way.

This way is --------- STUCK THE ONOS !!!!!

USE A ST OR TF OR ANYTHING DROP INFRONT OF AN ONOS, WHILE IT STUCK, IT PROPERLY NEED TO DESTORY THE BUILDING U BUILD IF IT DIDNT SUCESS, HE PROPERLY DIE.

1 hints to all[ no matter anything stuck, their energy wont recharge again]

i have try this for couple of times and all of them work plenty good
my record is stuck about 50 onos in this month.

now gorge turn

gorge always tough when they are more than 3 with dc or mc.
no matter wt kind of gun [ even gl or hmg] shoot at them, they properly wont die if they keep on their spary and u will die soon

new way to face this is [[[[[ mines]]]]]

after this reserch,i will give my soldier some mines when they face gorge race i properly order him to put the mines and let it blow.
this one very work on them. when they spary, mines were hit and blow up.
u will lost 1 - 2 rines for sure but gorge is [10 res each]

got any problems or comments to this 2 new ways ?

building on onos( or any other players) is considered lame and an expliot.....

Yup, and when 3.0 comes out I'm pretty sure it'll be impossible to trap anyone in structures, (Try letting him come in the base and have everyone rush it; It won't take too long to die even with lvl0 LMGs. Or you could drop 3-4 shottys). As for the gorge rush, a gorge with carpace, (read: Proabably, I'm not too sure on this), won't die from a single mine, and with 5-9 other gorges backing him up with healspray he'll be fit and well again in no time. Plus the fact that they probably dropped RTs before the rush, so the res lost from a gorge dying isn't really wasted, whilst the 10 res for each mine pack is very costly for the rines near the start of a game.

Catching an onos that way (being stuck deprives you of stamina) is an exploit , fortunately fixed by the /stuck plugin. What's legit and effective is to block your base's entrances with structures so that the onos can't escape. A TF usually isn't enough , you have to drop several structures or a CC to prevent an onos from smashing his way through. Most of the time the onos will be forced to crouch walk to escape , becoming an easy target for shotguns , HMGs and GLs.

I'd be like WTH? Then I'd press "c" (which is bound to "say /stuck") and come own your cc

I've had this happen to me as an Onos, and it was downright infuriating. I consider it in extremely poor taste, and cause for a ban.

you can do a similar thing as a footsoldier. run behind the onos and DONT SHOOT HIM YET. he'll run when his health gets below a certain point, depending how cautious he is. now when he turns to run, jump in the doorway, crouch and empty all your guns into him. ive nabbed so many onos this way, often i die and a teammate gets the kill and noone gives me credit... but this can turn the game around and gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside

why it works? by blocking him, you buy your teammates an extra 1-2 seconds while the onos gores you. and by crouching it takes another 1-2 seconds to find you and take aim. by then, that should have been plenty of time to kill the onos. also, by not shooting, while everyone else is emptying their pistols and some are reloading, you have a full lmg clip AND your pistol to finish him off. he's gonna run when his health gets low, whether you help or not. so if you save until when his health is low and THEN unload, its gonna be lethal.

i have a thread on this, try a search

Not the best way to start posting on the forums, but welcome

Building ontop of an onos is considered an exploit, personally I know quite a few people that upon seeing you do that could ban you, but thats just steam, not won. Don't try and use cheap tricks to stuck an onos.

Using mines however is a much better idea, drop em in pairs along the corridor right into your base and have a few turrets and a hmger or 2, that should finish him off as soon as he sees you.

ive had a dropped on me as onos and it means you cant redeem and if u have regen cara your screwed and it takes to long to destroy it or type stuck unless you have it binded before youve been shot up. if i was an admin on the server at the time i probably would have banned him becuase he did it on purpose and i could have won the game for the team. so dont do it

dont drop it on him, just drop a CC to seal off the exit from your base

It won't work in 3.0, since when a player gets stuck in a structure they can walk through it until they are outside it.

Stakhanov, you numnutz- sealing off the base with unbuilt buildings is just as much as an exploit as dropping it on them- if not more; the point being that it wasnt designed to be played that way.

what if i legitimately want to relocate to my base's exit?

How often do you start relocating right where an onos is standing? Also, are you planning on placing an armory, arms lab, etc there? I know you are just kidding, so my post is kind of pointless, but oh well.

I like your justification for freezing inside buildings, but we all know it's just smelly cheez that no one wants a part of.

Agreed. A lame exploit shouldn't be considered a valid way to deal with anything.

(And WTH? HOW can someone not kill a gorge with an HMG? Christ, howabout an LMG/pistol? [if needed.])
