I've googled for a couple but there are like a million different ones, and I don't know which ones suck or not. What is the best SNES emulator that you guys use? I would like it to be campatible with a gamepad. Oh, and anyone know any good rom sites? I had some pretty rare games that will prolly be hard to find.

Zsnes for SNES and Nesticle for NES.

Snes9xw is so much easier to use though.
+ The menu looks like a normal menu, not like some "fun idea" of the creator's.

I would just liekt o mention that distribution of some ROM's is still illegal. While you are free to discuss this topic, please do not post links to ROM sites. Thankyou.

I believe roms are legal if you happen to own the game in cartridge form.

Not 'happen to own them in cartridge form', If you rip your roms straight from your own cartridge, THEN its legal. And you can only make one 'backup' rom image.

on the emulators, I use zsnes and FCE Ultra, both windows apps as opposed to nesticle.

Jimmeh!, download the thing, and then you will SEE the horrible truth, It not only SOUNDS like "testicle"....

oh, and yes, I like that lyric because it basically describes what happens everytime I think something good is going to happen in my life....

ZSNES here and I'm trying to find another NES one that ISN'T nesticle. I hate the fullscreen thing Nesticle has. NEStron was the best emulator I ever used for a while till it stopped working and FCE worked just as good until that broke (it goes extremly fast with no sound)

    You sir, are mistaken.

SNES9x is THE snes emulator. Hell, zsnes wouldn't be where it is today if it weren't for the snes9x devs.

as for the NES, its FCEU, hands down.

FCE Ultra all the way for classic NES, no doubt about it.

As for SNES, I personally prefer ZSNES but I also occassionally use SNES9X. They are both great emus.

While we're on the topic, now is a good time to pimp my icon pack! :D

Note: Most of these icons were not made by me, I got them from this nifty site: http://www.ix.sakura.ne.jp/~yoshi/icon/game/ Its all Japanese, but has icons for nearly every console you can imagine. I did take the images from gif form and made them transparent .ico's though. Also I did make the Sonic (Genesis File) & Mario (NES File) icons. :D

Basically that thing can plug into your XBox and your computer's USB port. I'm not sure if the SNES controller wires correspond with USB wires, but it's worth a try. Plus, if you replace your SNES, your controllers will still work in it! That way you can play on the SNES, or you can plug into the computer and play multiplayer with the ZSNES netplay feature. I'll post some controller drivers if I can ever find them. Or if someone else has them then they can just share.

Plus, Snes9x's frame rate adjustment is fun as heck, as easy to use. I like loading up DBZ: Hyper Dimanesion and putting the framte rate at 23 frames per second and still beating up the computer

And only 2 of them are 6 button configs!

What happens when I wanna play TMNT Arcade?!
