<div class="IPBDescription">'Cos i can't find it ANYWHERE</div> Right, the game: Sub Culture. Released: November 1997. Publisher: Ubi Soft. They have no records of it on their site. Developer: Criterion Studios. They also have no info on it.

PC World haven't heard of it
Amazon haven't heard of it
Game haven't heard of it
No matches on Ebay

I can't even find it's official site. The only sites i can find relating to it are cheat sites and some reviews.

I remember playing the demo for this game ages ago, and i *think* i played the full version once at a friends house (and i don't think it was legal). And i really like it. BUT I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE TO BUY IT FROM! ARRRGGGHHH!

So, if anyone can find where i can buy it online, i'll be very happy indeed.

the "Buy" option doesn't work. I've already checked the site it links to i think <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Nm, the link from that site doesn't work, but you can still search it and get the purchase option. Thanks <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Hasn't abandonware been ruled illegal on these forums?

Don't think so, SS2 was posted in another forum. But it wasn't taken down or anything... I think. TUD's doesn't offer a link for Sub Culture.

Some links there don't work, but the one to amazon.DE is working, from where one there are more sellers listed. I dunno if it is shipped to where you live cause I dunno where you live. If you speak german, try it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Abandonware itself isn't banned; the problem is that waaay too many cases are borderline. System Shock 2 is still sold in the stores that still have it, even though nobody knows where the money goes if it gets purchased. Links are available to download the "full" version, but many have rather...erm...unorthodox installation methods, or have "ripped" out files like cutscenes deemed unnecessary in order to lower the file size; both of these are common with illegally pirated software.
As a general rule I'll lock or edit threads containing abandonware links.

    Warzone 2100,
    Netstorm,
    Outpost 2,
    etc.
    etc.

    Multiplayer has either been:
    Cut from those games
    Have no official web page
Very few or no fan pages
and here's the kicker of those 3:
Are no longer supported by their companies/companies no longer exist

However, single player can only be played so many times... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Sub culture! That game was reasonably cool. Played the demo. A bit like underwater Privateer.

    ...

    Apparently there's still a NetStorm server up <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Oh yes... that was a good game.
I played it for a few weeks. After a year, I tried it again, but it got boring quickly.
    Eh.

freespace was such a great game... I bought freespace1 for I don't know how much when it was out, then later on I bought a virgin white label pack with:

    freespace 1
    freespace 1 expansion (silent threat)
    freespace 2

for 100 francs (that must be about 15 bucks at the time)

As far as I'm concerned, Christmas has officially come early. I own and love the original FS - getting the 2nd one after not being able to buy it anywhere just makes my day <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
