Welder Distance Bug

<div class="IPBDescription">Title</div> Having a read through the changelog and was wondering if the welder distance bug was fixed as i cant see anything about it.

Just a little bug, but you get the welding animation if you are far away from a target yet its HP does not go up. You have to move closer to get it to weld.

If it has then just discard this post.

Devour at the moment has no vertical limit which means you can always devour that JPer....making them next to useless v a good onos.

    Speaking of distance bugs how can an onos eat sum1 a lot higher than it is? I can never seem to eat things unless i stomp them first and ppl eat me running around too. I dunno maybe i am missing sumthing?

    are you sure it has NO height limit? surely that's wrong. It can go really high, but not amazingly too high.

    I believed it to be something like this: as you can see, the range goes higher than it can go down to the ground.

    nice pic, anyway i never have a problem eating someone, when eirther moving or not moving, maybe it is a thing you have to prac on, it is like a nife, but it was made into a sword

    right now it has NO vertical limit.... i believe the analogy is to think of it as a cylinder.......

    SO if you are jping around at the CEILING in Viaduct... or Siege maps.. or Refinery, and an onos is able to position himself just right.... you will be eaten

    The thing is its very hard to position yourself right, unless you are good at it when they are that high up... but it has happened......

    Flayra tends not to mention all bugs in the changelog. I'll have to check.

    onos has many bugs, most are conected to the hl1 physics, but w/e, any way I would like to see the onos ladder bug fixed (when you go up on a ladder and have to crouch in the end so you can continue walking) <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Now i know of mayos sekrats. ill NEVER fly above a onoses head EVER

    but i can NEVER eat someone, i stomp them and im RIGHT next to him i bite and i still have a empty stomach, hes unstunned, lets out fire and redemption saves me IF im lucky...

    haha onos digestion also does not work at 0 distance.... so if you are like pressed against them you can rarely..if ever digest them...(if ur marine and get stopmed and the onos sprite goes "over you" you realize you are never actually digested until you back up to run away, in which time you are suddenly digested....


    Its an inconvenience, just digest when you are not pressed against someone.... and place the horn on thier chest "between the nipples" and it will work better

    Not if the onos ducks.

    As an onos I just duck and then press at them - and that's it. Only it doesn't work if your 'meal' is running around, since onos is slow without ducking already. *stomp*

    i know what you mean about the welder issue, i didnt know devour had unlimited distance vertically, does that include if you are above someone say on another floor can u devour through the floor??

    i have no idea... i know they can suck through vents and railings, but ive never had personal experience through walls... i believe not though, since all other bullets are stopped by walls and ceilings and floors, while the "air" in ns doesnt stop any weapons..
