Pre-release of ns in forum?
Was just thinking, why not post the download link to ns on the forum a day before the official release for the public?
A way of thanking all registered forum lurkers who daily visits and post ideas, comments and encouragement to ns and it's dev team.
As you all know, lost of people out there. If lots of people knowing, lots of people will downloading. Lots of people downloading makes lots of chaos. if lots of chaos, lots of people will be frustrated. If lots of people frustrated, lots of people sad.

I have a feeling the devs won't heed your suggestion, though.
That is all.
That topic has 15 times more views than Tales from the front lines. ^^
So... Don't count on it. =) But it would be nice however.
It was mostly Flay's idea - he loves his crazy NS fan mob.
For any newcomers unaware of the IRC channel, that want to hang around in there a bit, you can download mIRC and connect to the server irc.gamesnet.net, channel #naturalselection.
The IRC guys are a nice bunch, (I'll make sure of it ) and if you act with some degree of decency, and follow the RULES, you'll be fine.

I think I agree with Trane on this subject the most though. Flayra wants everyone to be able to play as soon as possible, so although it'd be nice to see something like this, the chances are probably 1 in a million or so ...
I'd expect that we'll be counting down to the release, we don't know much at this time. Of course, the second NS is released, we'll be giving download mirrors to the channel, which will be the main reason most of the people will be there.
If you've ever been to a #dod release party, you'll know that there are THOUSANDS of people in there at a time, I think their max was close to 3000. Let's see if we can beat that ^_^.
Thats going to be insane! I want to be there!!!
We should have an NSF server. That should be one of the dedicateds that get thrown up. I think i could be content if I never played a non-forumer ever.
