Onos movement

<div class="IPBDescription">A tank or a train?</div>I was wondering how the level 5 movement physics going to feel.
Apart from speed/jump/friction changes, will his movement be more like a car from a racing arcade than a lone gordon freeman?
Will he drift to the side when making a rough turn.
Will he gain in speed when charging down the hall. Will he knock marines to the side when they physically encounter them.

I believe I already discussed Onos and I still think it would be a damn good idea for him to be able to charge and knock marines aside. So he will be more like a tank than a person.

    He does pick up speed, but when he hit's marines he just kinda runs them over, or so I'm told...

    Kinda like if you're hit by a semi, first you flatten, then you slip under it.

    it'd also be pretty darn cheap <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    remember, always think about the balance of the game, i mean sure, we'd all like the marines to have akimbo chainguns with automated rocket launchers, but still... that wouldnt be too balanced, it takes out the fun of the game

    Exactly how would it be cheap? The alternative is to have them be carried forward or crushed under his bulk.

    it would be good if you would be able to manually hold down a certain key, but automatically running a marine over without knowing it would be cheap.

    (i know i know, thats not what he said, but thats what i meant)

    I believe you have to have charge activated.

    Dr. Hugo said on IRC that they move both ways. Depends if your walking, running, or charging.

    you cannot trample a marine unless you have have charge currently active.  So a walking onos won't just stomp marines unless he actualy uses an attack.

    Does he feel a bit like the rhino in the Donkey Kong Country series ?
