    Though i totally agree, what's the point in a detailed handle when the v_ and p_ models always have it covered.

    I wasn't so keen on how huge the body was, so I messed with the proportions a bit to make it look a more realistic pistol size. My mind is blank for ideas for extra detail (first person to say a LAM gets a free bullet in the head), so if anyone has any suggestions go right ahead.

    Soon as I get that extra detail on and tweak the ejection port a little I'll release it to be meshed (Maus the meanie refuses to show me how - it'd be even more tedious to teach somebody than it was to learn, he says), skinned and animated. What format would people want? ms3d, 3ds, dxf ....?

    id say some sort of cocking mechanism. Like a hammer, or a slide. I mean, how does the first bullet get to the chamber? Wouldnt be realistic if it didnt have a way to put the bulelt in the chamber.

    Most people around here use MilkShape - and then 3dsMAX if I'm not mistaken.

    Some use Maya, too..

    Slightly fancier vents on the front (a little like Drake's picture), and a higher-poly chamber are the only changes tonight. I still need to find something non-silly to liven up the back of the gun.

    However, without a skinmesher this model is going nowhere fast.

    BP - do you mean this kind of TSA green we have here, or something like the fugly washed-out green of the TSA weapons?

    Here be the vents on the front (I'm figuring something like the TSA logo would go in the gap there), and some plates on the back to add detail. The top of the back still needs something though. Ordinarily there's be a sight there, but I dodn't want to interfere with the bizarre yet oddly neat holosight shark fin thingy.

    edit: it's an unoptimised 1300 polys at the moment, so ideally I don't want to be adding much more.

    You should drop the second set of three vents and just have the forward four, it just seems more practical.

    Maybe he could give it some more width, and the hollow it out and then put a red dot sight on it (If you don't know what a red dot sight is...talk to sheena).
