Svc Error As I Spawn

<div class="IPBDescription">Could not search for old posts</div> When I tried to search for old posts on svc errors all I got was this crap "One or all of your search keywords were below 4 characters, please go back and increase the length of these search keywords."
And I can't possible search for svc errors if I type in svcs and expect to get a decent result. So I have to come here to the new player forum to ask for help. Doesn't seem appropriate anywhere else.
After connecting to a server I wait to spawn, after spawning I get booted off the server and my client tells me that it was an svc error. It doesn't specify what that means or elaborate on what went wrong. So, what went wrong and how do I fix it?

I cant personally suggest much other than to check u have latest HL version and a nice clean install of NS.
As for SVC, I know that as this tool to check the validity of formulas expressed in a subset of first-order logic. Stanford something checker. Doubt that's it somehow.
Internet search reveals:
1. SVC: Switched Virtual Circuit
Virtual connection set up only for the duration of a single communications session. In contrast, a permanent virtual circuit remains available at all times
Seems more likely. You having other network problems?
also check that you not running anything in the background, such as download accelerators n stuff...
if u wanna download and play, use something like kazaa and cap your download to 10kb.
if that doesnt help, Re-Install HL+NS, if u had retail ( and vice verser ) try with the mod version and see if it helps.
