Visually/gameplay wise
I honestly love the look of the aliens in this game, they're original and they're interesting. Visually, Fade is probably my favorite. I can't explain why, he just looks like he would be the warrior class of aliens, and I think the artist did an amazing job with him. Onos comes in a close second. Anyone can make an alien big, but the Onos actually LOOKS powerful.
Gameplay I'd definatly have to say the Skulk though, sneaking around and making marines jump out of their boots is going to be great.

Imagine slashing a marine in two, teleporting to the ceiling of a huge room, and as you fall, you teleport to the floor right behind another marine. Slice. Two upper torsos, two lower torsos, and a whole bunch of intestines litter the floor.

I mean, it's just perfect. The way it looks like a fully evolved alien. You can easily tell that it once was a Skulk, as there are subtle similarities here and there, but at the same time he definitely portrays a feeling of raw power and... pride.
The way the entire alien series was planned out and conceptualized is just amazing, but the level 5 is really on the top for me. Cory obviously has some incredible talent.
Edit: If I HAD to say my least favorite alien I guess it would be the Lerk. It certainly looks cool, but the thought of flying around a ship in space sits about as right with me as a sniper rifle in this game. Though I haven't read much about it so I figure it's implented MUCH better than it sounds.
Also, the face of Blinky looks really mean and determined (dead set on killing you)
Oh and its the Fade as in "I play the medic in TFC"
Otherwise its like "My favourite class is... i dunno James or Kim or something" and it becomes a name instead of a species.
downfalls of them.. blink i donno his contrast with the skin and light looks odd unless its dark, then it looks awsome, but most people dont like dark maps
lerk? well its kinda hard to fly and attack (experience from other games)
and skulk.. well.. cool and all but some of the pictures of him hopinh around.. not my style
soooo iut'd have to be a combination of those three classes
Bob would be #2. Just sounds fun to wallclimb and whatnot.

2-Lerk
2: Skulk/Bob, it's just too fun to be sneaky.
3: Lerk, gota love flying.
Gorge! w00t w00t!

I'm defiantly down with the flier. I'm gonna enjoy swooping down on a unawares marine fireteam, decapitating a few of them and then flying back up into the rafters amidst a hail of lead.

Well it's going to be a rarer event that a team gets an onos.
.. no?
what about fade then?
Popping out of a vent over 3 marines loading up from the armory, then *KABOOM* Xenocide! 4 Player kill messages appear and I whoop over voice comm, cos I know they can hear me
I still prefer marines.
Skulk: I play as a Skulk a *lot*. It's fast yet still packs a punch. It's also *excellent* for fast strikes directly at the CC or Infantry Portal. Finally, if you find a good camping spot, you can *rack up* kills. I killed 6 marines from the *same* position before finally dying.
Gorge: I like to build. I love to web. I love setting up pockets of defense, just around corners - two turrets, backed up by a defensive chamber, with some webs designed to catch marines just as they stray into the turrets' line of fire.
Lerk: Yes please. Some of my most enjoyable moments have been zipping around larger areas like Bast's Refinery hive, dogfighting with jetpack-equipped marines while machinegun fire, acid-rockets, spore clouds, and turret spit fill the air. There is nothing like Spore Cloud for disorienting marines, and nothing like Umbra for prolonged base assaults.
Fade: Probably the only class I don't like playing... I'm just not very good with him. Haven't mastered the quick weapon-change needed for effective blink/swipe combos, have trouble aiming Acid Rocket. My midgame class of choice is the Lerk.
Onos: It's unbelievably satisfying to simply absorb machinegun fire as you pulverize things till you have the *time* to go kill that pesky marine. Is he jetpacking? Paralyze him - he'll drop like a stone and hold nice and still for a bite or two to the face. Bite in conjunction with Primal Scream simply *shreds* turrets.
I like them all, and they all have their place. I probably spend most of my time as a Gorge, supporting, or a Skulk on attack. In the late game there are usually enough heavy attackers (Fades and Onos) that I don't need to go that route, and instead focus on slipping in unnoticed and ripping into the CC.
