What Does The 'play' Button Mean Beside Forums?

And some forums have this symbol:

    I've noticed that a forum will use that icon when a subforum is created inside it. The Mapping Forum and the Fan Fiction Forum both use that icon, and both have subforums. Also, the General Discussion Forum began using that icon when the Beta Information Forum was created inside it.
