I have a sweet spot for this baby. I've been trying to find one of my own, I'de attempt the restoration of course.

My thoughts on the entire car based thing in the entire world right now is that if it runs, its fine. It's a pointless waste of money to spend more then you need to on a car.

Well muscle cars are usually from the 60s and 70s. What I want to do is buy one cheap and restore it. Its a hobby type thing. Not my car is better then your car. I also never said I owned that one.

I see exactly what you mean, but eventually you've gotta get sick of driving round in a motorised rollerskate

Besides, around where I live you really can't do much more than, say 75 MPH, so what's the point of having a car that can go three times the speed of sound?

the new ones are the best put an old muscle car VS. a new muscle car and the old one will get OWNED
• alius42alius42 Join Date: 2002-07-23 Member: 987Members
Like I said before, I want to restore a car and make it my own rather then buy a car which is tens of thousands of dollars outside of my price range. Also i'm not really buying it for speed. More for the style. Not to say that it can't pull its own.

The muscle car from XXX is a Pontiac GTO. I am not sure about the year. My favorite muscle car is actually more of a classic car, you know the one. Early Thunderbird baby!

my dad owns an SS nova, but when ever we ride in it it smells like gasoline :/. he has to fix it, he also doesn't want to get pulled over.

My favorite is one I grew up with, my parents own one, it's the 68 Dodge Charger. It's old and beat up so it's going to get sold to some enthusiast, but a guy at my school has a black one, nice.

Very nice. Gotta love the charger.

-- me daydreams of friends heavy duty work truck --
1978 Dodge pickup truck with rusted through floor boards, 0-45 somewhere above 30 seconds, radio works only when you hit the thing, needs WD-40 or equivilent 'High performance starter fluid' to bring it out of hibernation, and it hauls up to 2 tons of tree trunks - now thats a lot of hauling muscle .
-- me wakes up to throaty Italian V-12 rumbling behind my bucket seat --
I also kinda think that a Lamborhgini Countach Quatrovalvo 500 would be pretty neat too; or one of those Dodge Vipers with their V-10 truck series engine in them...
