NS should seriously stay on the compy though... even it it had a choice
1. i bought a ps2 for $200
2. ps2 has like NO cool games
3. xbox has halo, DOA volleyball, etc.
4. all my friends have xboxs but ME
5. memory cards cost like $30
6. all of the above REALLY **** ME OFF
so make NS for ps2!!!!
and i was just wondering, does HL for ps2 have better graphics than HL on pc?
And yes, I know all about Halo. Seriously it's not an outstanding game. Singleplayer is boring as all hell but multi is a blast. No more than bf1942 though.

Anyways...FPS suck on consoles and NS on xbox? WHY. CS..Pah. it's the biggest piece of **** ever. I don't know why they are doing this. It's stupid. I can't belive on CS got so big, I think they just got lucky and came out at just the right time. Other then that, there mod is **** and it's f--king repetive. Dust is so damn common I can draw the entire map on a piece of paper for christ sake

Consoles really aren't suited for FPS games, regardless of how similar they are to PCs.

You do understand that Counterstrike is now an official Valve product, right? That it's actually sold as a game. NS isn't sold. Not on any platform. So how on Earth is it going to make it onto Xbox?
Xbox games aren't moddable. The only way CS is getting on the Xbox is because Valve put it there. That doesn't open the door for every other HL mod, not by a long shot.

I personally also don't think a PC version of Goldeneye could have been better, in much the same way that Mario Kart would suck on the PC. Yeah, the single player would be great on PC, but the multiplayer would not. I'm gonna lay out a few facts for you.
1. FPS <i>do</i> work on the console. There's no argument. Halo's sold millions of copies. Timesplitters sold millions of copies. Ghost Recon is selling like hot cakes. Same for Raven Shield. Yeah, yeah, the kb/mouse is the best input for FPS, but the dual analog does a more than passable job. If <i>you</i> have some deficiancy and can't figure it out, that's <i>your</i> problem. So, control wise, there's no reason NS couldn't be on the Xbox.
2. Xbox is more than powerful enough to run HL or any of its mods. That's a non-issue.
3. Xbox Live is the <b>best</b> online service for the consoles. Live is the best online service, period. Valve could learn a lesson or two from MS in this department. Live delivers on every promise Steam's made. Downloadable content, a buddy/messaging system that works no matter what game your playing, fast servers and voice communication in <i>every game.</i> That feature right there is <i>perfect</i> for NS.
4. NS lends itself nicely to the Xbox's architecture. A game like BF1942 I couldn't see on the Xbox. Too many players at once, and the maps are too big. NS maps are compact that most would probably work on the Xbox with just a little tweaking. Crimson Skies proved that Live can handle lag free 16 player games, and I'm sure it could handle the suggested NS 6v6.
I don't think this will happen. No, scratch that- this will never happen. But it could, and it could also be <i>awesome</i>. I know a lot of you dweebs think consoles are for babies. Go ahead and ask your girlfriends how mature and cool your PC games are. And if you don't have a girlfriend? It's like Gabe says, that's part of the freaking test.
Anyhow, I believe in Xbox 2. The new consoles will be nothing more than stripped down sexy looking gaming PCs. When Xbox 2 comes out, and every person across the land owns one, and online multiplayer experience, both gaming and community and modding, become exactly as if it were on a PC, then I will rejoice, and I will be happy. Then the existence of quality FPSes exclusive to the Xbox2 can be fathomed.
Of course, the controls have to as good as if not better than keyboard + mouse.

Oh please. I'd love to play anyone who thinks console controllers are nearly as good as KB/Mouse in a 1 on 1. I'm absolutely sure that the Keyboard/Mouse would DECIMATE the gamepad. It wouldn't even be close. You can do so much more advanced techniques with a keyboard and mouse and aiming is 10000 times easier. FPS on consoles are HORRIBLE...
