Indeed combat maps doesnt need stories, but this map is different.
Try cutting back your r_speeds to about 400 or so...
3rd screen. Although the room looks simple, the r_speeds are also high there too =\
Did you by any chance compile in fast mode? That might explain the high r_speeds, otherwise, nice map...

The map is pretty much done now, It just needs a proper marine start.
When that's done I'll release a beta for the NS:C betatesting.
The short promised story:
<i>A troop of frontiersmen have been trapped in the water-processing area.
The aliens have infested 2 of the 3 exits and are now in the mood to hunt some hot marine flesh.
To escape from this unpleasant event the marines have to fight their way through, searching for the last open exit.</i>

If the last exit wasn't the hive, it could make for interesting gameplay... that could be accomplished by having a trigger or some such that if the marines (x number of marines) reach the exit, the hive is subjected to instant death (via trigger_hurts or crushing death or some such).
Regardless though, sounds cool, looks cool, find a new green triangular hologram.

I sent the map to flayra on the submission date. I thought he got it but later I recived a PM from a playtester who said that flayra didnt have my map. So I emailed flayra once again and asked him about this. He said he had lost it and wanted me to send the map again, which I did. After one week without any reply I sent him another email asking if he had tried it, but I got no reply on that either. This made me pretty tired and after the annoncement of 3.0 I gave up.
Well, it seems like this is the end.
But if you beg me to..., I'll release a final for the upcoming 3.0.

I found one bug *I dont know if its the only* in this map...
these vents require you to crouch an and jump as skulk to get past *as in turn wall running off* wchich may cause a bit of frustration.

Nice map, good to run around in. Shame it didn't have a chance for improving for NS3/C

LOL, everyone knows you can run Combat maps through normal NS on a single player server, 'tis no secret.
And Flay is very busy I'm sure, this map definetly has the potential to be included in a patch like 3.1, 3.2 etc. So don't give up on it just yet.
