<div class="IPBDescription">Post your interest here.</div> The good folk at OLD FOGIES who run newbie training at the server [OldF] Over Medicated in North America are kind enough to run training sessions for newbies. The problem is that because of time differences we Aussies are snoozing or at work when they are at their peak.
So I thought that if you want training and we can get enough interest, [surely there is some facet of the game you need help or you can help with] we could all get together and fill the server at a time convenient to us.
I thought that there must be some good players in Aus who would be kind enough to give us their time to train those of us who need and appreciate help. Of course if any one from overseas wanted to help we would be very happy with your assistance. T
Why this topic and post?
Well the good folk have been spending time in their server and sometimes no-one turns up. I myself have tried to stay awake etc to get to the training sessions and always seem to miss them.
I thought that if the server is empty when people from overseas wished to train, why not arrange to take advantage of a server that is empty, that is dedicated to NS AND training sesssions and make use of it. We can surely get some people with experience to help.
Then the server is better utilised and the owners know they aren't wasting their time and resources. We can thank them from here.

Come on please, don't be shy, we wish to help everyone and anyone who wants help, this is for all people from the greatest of skills, to those who have just learnt what a computer is.

I my self would be willing to train, though i am a complet n00b with out my adsl, so i can train upto 4.30 pm all week days (sydney time) though try and get some of the old 13th members (13th split up), as they where the top of ns 1.x gaming
I think ausns, nsplayer, or eftel would be willing to share some of there public time, for a newb dedicated training run, though don't quote me on it

So post and let us know the best time for you. I have spoken to the [OldF] people and we can use any server available and usually they are empty Australian afternoon/night-time. Other servers have been said are available too, and interest is picking up so lets start.
I hope that we will get people to help teach our mob all parts of the game. This I hope will include tactics, teamwork, how to join/play with a clan, the way to comm, well whatever people need to learn. Come on people post your interest.

It seems people want help but you ask them to post a time and day they can be available and nothing happens. If this is going to happen it needs <b><span style='color:yellow'><span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>YOU</span></span></b> to post when you are able to be on-line so I or some other helpful person can organise the happening.
If people won't post when they are available, the time and place is pointless to post and have someone sitting in an empty server for a length of time and no-one turns up. It is disheartening for the person concerned and the idea will fail. So <b><span style='color:orange'><span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>please post</span></span></b> your preferred time and day, the place can be organised very quickly.
I especially would like training as I'm still being owned when I play and wish to find out what I'm doing wrong. So come on people post a time and day, please.
To get the ball rolling I will be on [OldF] RH v2.01 --- address 10.10.100.3:27015 tonight Friday, 7 November 2003 at 7.00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Saving time.
I appreciate the fact this is short notice but I am trying (very trying) to start somewhere. I will post another time and day if this doesn't work. I will be on this server for some time as I am happy running around maps learning the lay out. Often I have been on servers by myself to try and learn the map layout.
Hope to see someone there, and could you say that you are there for training or teaching, we need teachers too.
Hehe got myself into trouble {#oldfogies on gamesnet} is an irc channel we can use. Why didn't I say so before because irc and all things related to it are alien landscapes to me.
I apologise for the delay in doing more to start this going but my net things have been wonky. See you on the server or irc (if I can learn how to do it right).
Just found out can't see me in server unless two people to start game. So if interested check the server first and look in readyroom for me.

The server changed because the other is beta, and gave me some horrible graphics glitches. Hope to see people there.
Here is the deal i can help you train people on your server and try and be a regular there as i only frequent 3 servers as my favorites...and i do jack crap all day except at school from 7am-2pm US central time and then am availible to play at about 3 pm central time until 10pm central time if a) my internet is not down or b)day is not good for meh...cuz i am in a clan and that will take priority. I have practice tuiesday and thursday 6 pm - 10pm central time. Besides that i would gladly help i have been playing NS religiuosly since 1.4 and have good skills as both rine and xeno so ill try and go to your servers and see whats up...
Oh and can i have a ip address? is it steam compatible already? i dont have that **** and i dont want it until WON is ded so if thats a problem <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> i am sorry but i will hold on to WON until its just a memory....

They may be able to get a server if we are able to either petition FixXxer enough or are able to get a few donation of parts/money to get this server up for training. Also a mate of a mate of mine runs a server for his clan and friendly clans to train up and coordinate outside of pub servers, i may also be able to convince, i may be able to convince him to lend us this server for certain times(4pm-7pm or something) to train up newbie aussies.
I know that all u easties and south aussies have ping issues with the western servers , but perth is further away than melbourne and sydney to adelaide, get over it. If you dont liek playing on western servers because of 50-100 ping difference, then wh ydo u keep coming back?
If anyone can give me details of servers or other ways they can influence the server to be built and run, gimme an email(this is also my msn)

Until then ill see what i can do and ill speak to eftel admins on mirc once i get back from the bloody TEE exams in a few hours, ill give you an update in about 5 hours after ive spoken to either FixXxer or any other admins.

you will usually be able to talk to an admin in here, fixxxers generally on all the time and ill direct him to this thread to see if efte lcan get up a server for noob training, wether its at certain times like clan wars or whatever.
