    Do you have previous experience mapping?  If not, I suggest you start small, with a TFC map.

    I doesn't understand your question fully, nukem107. But as for links, here are a few:
    <a href="http://www.valve-erc.com/" target="_blank">http://www.valve-erc.com/</a>
    <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/community/hosted/editing.shtm" target="_blank">http://www.planethalflife.com/community/hosted/editing.shtm</a>
    <a href="http://www.vlatitude.com/" target="_blank">http://www.vlatitude.com/</a>
    and last but not least:
    <a href="http://www.google.com/" target="_blank">http://www.google.com/</a>

    perhaps you can explain what you mean with
    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td><b>Quote</b> </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"><!--QuoteEBegin--> i have no idea what to put into the 3d art and 2d art and all the other boxes u need ot put commands in and for custome mods it dosent tell u only popular mods like c-s
    and tfc<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    *UPDATE:
    <a href="http://www.karljones.com/halflife/almanac.asp" target="_blank">http://www.karljones.com/halflife/almanac.asp</a>
    and be sure to get the latest version of "Zoner's Halflife Compile Tools" but be careful, the version on Valve-Erc isn't up-to-date (I think the newest one is v. 2.5.3 custom build 1.6)

    Here's a good place to get started in Half-Life engine level design: <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/wavelength" target="_blank">Wavelength</a>

    Edit: You guys reply too fast. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

    Edit 2: Apparently Wavelength is no more. :/ Shows how much I get around...

    Ken: don't feel bad, I thought wavelength was still up too <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Nukem: If you can't figure out how to do it from the examples given then you best stick with a tfc or cs map until you figure out how to configure it properly.

    Actually, this was brought up in IRC too, and Wavelength is apparently just moving to its own domain. Good news. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    That`s good, wavelength was the only sight when I was realy new that I could find that would tell you simple things, like how to make a box, how to make a door, how to make player spawns, that sort of thing.

    Wavelength is now <a href="http://www.thewavelength.net" target="_blank">here</a> - they moved.

    <span style='font-family:ocr a extended'>nukem107, if i understand correctly you want to map for NS, but you don't know how to map. You have searched the internet a bit, but you did not find a mapping tutorial for NS anywere, only for cs and tfc...

    This is because there only is one (or maybe 2)... i don't know the link to the mapping guide, but i'm sure anyone here will give you the link right guys???</span>

    and the slightly easier, less verbose <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/nsworld/MappingGuide/MappingGuide.ASP" target="_blank">Quickstart guide to mapping for Natural Selection</a>

    Most of these links are in thr mapping forum FAQ
