I wouldn't say all those pics are too bright... just the first 2, maybe the 3rd one also. I think the map looks decent, but I'm sure I'm not the person to be judging your map for this.

WoW I love Half-Life lighting! As a matter of fact I like all lights even in real life. I love seeing how shadows grace the ground or how Halos get larger or smaller or brighter or dimmer due to distance or angle. I am a light's nut. I smoke light doobies. Not really.
On-Topic, I love your lighting because no one has ever used lights quite like you are using them, if you wouldn't mind I'd love to know your .rad file and hlrad.exe settings. Really awesome work, I can't say I even glanced at your architecture too much, but I am madly in love with your lights, I want to make sweet sweet love to those lights...
