<div class="IPBDescription">NODVDANDNOBOXSETMAKEINFSOMETHINGSOMETHIN</div> Ok. Many of you know I have a problem. That problem is anime. My second problem is shiny DVDs. My FINAL problem is sexy boxes in which DVDs are kept.
So when you combine all 3, I simply go insane.
This month, was a very expensive month. I spent $550 Australian on DVDs.
So I'm here to show you, what $550 bucks worth of Anime DVDs gets you.

The Slayers Boxset (4 DVDs, COMPLETE SERIES) - $120
The Vision of Escaflowne Volume 1 /w Box - $45
FLCL Volume 3 /w Box - $40
Haibane Renmei /w Box - $40
Great Teacher Onizuka Volume 10 (FINAL DVD) - $30
Unfortunately, Joe Delivery-Man misplaced another box when he delivered these DVDs.... so I am missing 3 DVDs from this picture. They are:
Trigun Volume 7 - $30
Rurouni Kenshin Volume 20 - $30
Voices of a Distant Star (AKA Hoshi No Koe) - $30
They are there in spirit....
So there you have it people, I am one hopelessly addicted man. Like MonsE to his cynicism, Comprox to his nubliness. I am simply Inf with his DVDs....
Don't weep for me, I am already dead.

I am just finishing off kenshin, I have the 3 box 12 DVD set straight from hong kong that I borrowed, and I've watched all of trigun twice, once with a friend, and I have just seen all of dot hack//sign

Put it this way, this is my version of 'doing up my car every weekend'.
anime is annoyingly expensive and tends to lack features compaired with many other dvd releases unfortuantly... damn the fact its a neiche market.
but stilll... *drool* i need to buy more anime dvds :x
If anything he is probably very happy. Money spent on something he enjoys. What's wrong with that?

[Somewhat semi off topic] I spent about $60 on a transformers box set once, not even the whole series, about 16 or 17 eps and a specieal features DvD and some cells, but still, how can you say no to a series that good? I'm thinking of getting the slayers series, heard it was good. I'v seen Escaflowne , subbed, and it's pbly one of best series as long as you don't watch the movie.[/Somewhat off topic]
But ya, I think it's worth it , hell my step-dad used to say video games aren't worth it till he tried TA, now I have even him waiting for HL2 (He saw the graphics).

No volume x corresponds to the xth DVD in that series. So Kenshin Volume 22 is the 22nd DVD....

You also failed to mention that your flcl is the special edition box art, inf.
Basically it's a wrap around shot of all the main characters (Haruka, Noata, Canti) the background behind them is a reflective aluminimum type surface and the actual picture and logo are made out of this very rough paper, so you get this wonderful texture when you rub your fingers over it. I was expecting the Region 4 release to be something similar to the Region 1 release, with the box having a picture of basically the FULL cast in this insane picture thing.... this was indeed quite the welcome suprise.
Here's a scan of one side, the scan does NOT do the box any justice at all.

Well I like FLCL simply because Production IG was behind it's animation.
Basically I have loved every series Production IG have put out. Blood, Jin-Roh, Sakura Wars The Movie, Kai Doh Maru, <b>Patlabor movies </b>, etc.
It's really hard to explain why I like FLCL for reasons other than that... it's just a good enjoyable series with top notch animation.
By the by. Lovers of FLCL might want to get prepared for <a href='http://www.production-ig.co.jp/anime/deadleaves/index.html' target='_blank'>Dead Leaves</a>... it looks like it shares a very very similar style to the one FLCL possessed (IE freaking weird crap) oh... they're also making Ghost in the Shell Innocence, only the most expensive anime movie ever produced....
I'm currently looking around only to find a decent price of the Chobits DVD1 box, but everywhere's a bit expensive. =/
