open for comments...
Ok, I don't have a web host for pictures as of yet. (I missed the point where nsworld stopped doing that... although I understand entirely the reasoning) So i'll have to reply to myself like four hundred times. Anyways, here's some pics of the progress thus far. A lot of this stuff is still kind of rough, but i'll take any suggestions I can get.

This image is the current shot of data processing. Note the "manhole" that has been removed for access to the pumping station.

A ceiling view of pumping access

The entrance to the tunnel that takes you from the sewer level down into the pumping station. Note that this will have one if not two doors built into it...I just haven't decided on how yet.

The corridor leading to data processing.

A shot in the room i'm currently calling "The well". That door is a func_door on top and two func_door_rotatings that all move on a trigger_presence. It comes out as a really cool effect in game. This room is the other side of the data processing hallway.

Another part of the hallway going from the well to data processing, as well as my last pic for the moment.

Wow, thats amazing. I like the style.

Maybe fill in those corridors with debris or computers. They really look empty at the moment.

but yea, add stuff to the map, else no one wanna join aliens... just some random placed crates and stuff to hide behind

Here's another shot of an area i'm currently calling "the well" Just got to working on it today, decided it needed to be a lot bigger.

The infested water overlays are nice, but if that part has been infected, shouldn't the water be green? I think that'd look much cooler, since right now the contrast of bright blue water with dark green/orange alien goo isn't working. Looking good so far though, I don't really want to say much about maps that are maybe 4-5% done

actually this is going to be a co_ map, so it's more like 25%.

now that I look at it I agree on the water. Been thinking about that for a while, guess that kind of settles it.

The water infestation is a good idea, but I think a custom texture is the way to go in this case. The current presentation is sorta... ehhhh... Also, a lot of the hallways are way to plain and repeditive, spice em up!

I don't like the well part... too bland, unrealistic...

Here's a remade portion of north access. Have a computer screen in it now to provide something other than white light. It also makes some decent skulk cover, as does the grating portion of the ceiling, which is accessible through the func_illusionary that makes up the supports for it. (it's also clipped on the bottom to allow spikes/gas/umbra through it.

    Wow.

EDIT:: But, ATM "The Well" is very bland. You should have other things to spice it up. Maybe some supports holding up the "magical floating" stairs, or perhaps some difference architecture. It just seems to plain.

I think the well is going to be scrapped and replaced with something less....crappy. I believe now that most of the inspiration for it was an "OMG I could do a fallingpitofdeathanddoom" response. I think now i'm going to rework it and make a room with the entrances to the marine side of the map on the same x plane and have a vertical difference between the entrances to the alien areas. This time though, there will be no pit of doom...... at least not without a lot more catwalks.
