Did anyone else notice the cool looking "Metal Gear Solid" style Line of sight for marines on the minimap? if you were in a vent, couldnt you just have the mines, drop one below you, jump and drop at the same time, so its like a tower of mines? it only lets 1 marine up, but it would be a lot easier and faster, since you could just jump, lay, jump, lay, jump, lay, ect...

I'm just afraid of what this will do for places that are supposed to be impossible to get to as marines early on, more possible. As it stands there are already places to jump into, getting to nanogrid on veil through the vent will now be easier than ever <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
When I found out they where going to remove those perfect 5 mines-that-look-like-one onos Traps I almost cried, but looking at these <b>Insane</b> mine scupltures makes me want 2.1 more then anything!
Sure, the mines can be used to get to many places that were previously inaccessible. However, it takes 3 parasites to destroy the ladder, or 1 bite, or any alien charging into any part of it. It opens up more possibilities for marines, but it is easy to stop, and it takes a lot of effort, either getting all those marines there with mine packs or building an armory there.
