  Hmm. Any sites detailing the skinning of Steam? Perhaps the HTTP on-connect page that a few servers appear to display? It'd be interesting to get a proper NS server running with a graphical on-connect MOTD, as well as modify these skins (when released) to subsist with an alpha channel.

  The motd/html thing is as easy to change as writing the page in your motd.txt, or whatever it's in. problem with most people is they don't give more than 5 seconds to skim the important stuff. that and for people like me it gives me 4 fps for some odd reason.

  Unfortunately, there seems to be no 'Steam Documentation' clearly visible. So, what... you simply place the webpage in your motd.txt? Similarly, there is no visible information on Steam skinning, though it is plainly out there somewhere. It'd be handy if Steam had a 'Documentation' directory with the information contained. :b

  in the cs beta is said for the html we could:
  a) put html in motd.txt
  or
  b) put ONLY a url in motd.txt so that it displays said webpage
