<div class="IPBDescription">For everyone</div> Note: Welders, while everyone says u shouldnt attack with em are STILL better than GL's at shooting jumping skulks when ur by urself with heavy armor... i mean.. omg...

so this guy keeps shooting and reloadin his gl at me.. while i run around eating him..... scary...

    ...ah, but statistically, as the welder fires a continuous (I know, near continuous then,) stream of damage then you are more likely to damage the skulk when u get a 'shot' at it.

    However, knifes should always be used in place of welders when attacking rts, or hives. But face it, if you can knife a hive you *REALLY* need to be playing a better team.

    Or you'r palying a LAN game by yourself.

    personaly form experiance knifes are beter close range weapons than welders though when welding team mates in a HA train i dont even bother to get by knife out when a skulk starts eating me, i just weld him to death, then get welded.
    but if you must attack at boint blanck then get your knife out as the welder acctualy does very little damage and even a kinfe is beter (do you know howmany times ive seen a HA train welding a DC?)

    If you're alone with a GL and aren't almost dead (armor and health in good shape), shoot a grenade right next to you on the floor and whip out your knife. That way, if the skulk attacks, it gets blown up.

    and you blow up with it... smart idea
    dont go off on your own w a gl unless you're hot with a pistol. even then stick with other guys for protection. gl is designed to kill buildings and clear vents, not to openly attack aliens.
