Of course there's still the problem of getting a flamethrower that is volumetric, looks good and runs well. Apparently Flayra can do all three of those things, just not all 3 together <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Actually a better way to put it:
The flamethrower can be:
- Performance-Friendly
- Volumetric
- Looks Good
Choose two <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
At point 0,0,0 or whatever the mapper said , there is a sprite appearing there.

Look at the FPS drop, yes from 100 to 47. Yes, that's the problem.
Flayra wants it to be volumetric, beautiful and low-end friendly.
Or I just missed the <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
and look at the first flame..... 100 fps <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
OK.... my mod is meant to be played with a decent computer so I don't care putting many particles...
the FPS drops occur when you're near to the flames, but when you look at them from a distance you get 100 fps without any problem <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
PS: the smoke is the suxy HL engine one ^^
