    Actually, this should be changed, since it basically denies aliens access to nanogrid and gives marines 2 free rts...

    Guys, I've found out that you can turn the switch in Marine Base on bast, and a whole section of the wall revolves and you can go to Main Aft!

    It is not as safe for marines as they could wish. Because of the reentering of "Parasite switch", aliens can reopen the welded shut vents with parasite or gorge spit.

    Sieging a res open != free rts. In the case of veil, it usually means nobody gets them (since it's such a horrible place for marines to hang out) if you siege them from MS.

    correct, they usually just sit there. and sieging nano-grid isn't really a start-of-the-game thing to do, as the turrets and tf in some back room in your base to little to help you early on. i think it was a good idea to include that possibility in the map, it gives rines a reason to stay in base (as opposed to relocating).

    Actually <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=47641&hl=ns_veil&st=15' target='_blank'>in this post</a> KFS said he only made the monitoring pods ("those wierd vaults with the vents above them") to serve as vent exits that didn't hurt the marines too much and the siegeing of Nanogrid Status ("dbl res") was undesired.
    So don't expect to be siegeing the aliens out in 2.1.
