It's gettin' borin' for some people because of the learning curve. THe maps are so big - sometimes you just don't know what's going on. For someone that doens't play often, wth does "holoroom" mean? "ARGH they're sieging @ hera entrance." Ok... The maps themselves are far too big. It takes so long to walk to a place as marines and it is confusing for skulks to transverse a map - only to find themselves in a deserted place with no activity. The thing is, people wanna get into action ASAP. With NS's winding corridors and such, it's kinda impossible, even with hivesight. The only way is to memorise the exact locations of ALL the maps and people don't have much dedication. I and many others do not play everyday. Perhap NS:C will attract more people.

In find 2.0 to be quite "polished" (mentioned above) as well. I think it's a fine game as it stands, but it definitely leans more towards team work than it used to. now, if anyone thinks i'm bashing NS, i'm not, it's just IMHO, from what i can see, it seems to be in a lull, if you will. the reason i ask is because i DON"T want it to die out.
so ppl tend to think it's because of the new games/steam-won server switcheroo and/or some change in the NS gameplay.
i guess i'll just wait until the end of the steam switch, and THEN look at the servers to really worry.

which means...you can come back and win if you are clever they are stupid you are lucky they are unlucky etc.
it is a game where playing either side requires a different mindset
the only thing i think would help it is a trainer... a single player game that would teach a newb to shutup and 'listen' to his commander that would teach a newb the basics of commanding (it always works better if your subordinates understand what you do, what thing cost) that would teach a newb the basics of gorging
this is what starcraft and warcraft have over this game a single player adventure that teaches you the basics of complicated gameplay
i know that is a LARGE request, and i do not expect it for free but that is my thought. Have a nice day

Hmmm... I used to think NS was fun back in the "old" days, but now I'm getting more and more fed up with the following things...
* "OMG!! NOOOBZOR!! NUB NUBB!!!" (in general) * "HE BUILT SENZOR!! OMG WE LOST!!!" * "I TOLD THEM TO DO WHAT I WANTED NOW WE LOST!!!" * "NUBCOM!! HE MADE TURRENTS!! EJECT!!" * "NUBCOM!! HE DIDN'T ELECT!! EJECT!!!" * "NUBCOM!! HE DID ELECT!! EJECT!!" * "OMG!! HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM COM BEFORE!! EJECT!"
etc...
Frankly it makes me puke... everyone seems to be a newb no matter what they do?? Where did this come from?? I can understand if people get aggrevated if they get killed in a very strange way or a skilled player takes out a whole bunch and they scream something ugly... but... this whining? This "noobishness" and constant whining on coms that wants to try different tactics or are beginners is killing my play experience totally...
I don't mind coms that are beginners, heck they might be naturals, I don't mind different chambers, change the tactics and that's that, good practice... but I do mind the constant whining and flaming... so I'm going to stop my whining right now...
But I'm still hooked in NS cause every now and then a galactic war is shaking my boots off and I get a rush knowing I was a part of it... there's nothing funnier than playing a game with close to 3 hours of epic battles... in the end, no matter if you lose or win noone is gonna say anything else but "wow, GG!!!".
