<div class="IPBDescription">Anyone seen this?</div>Has anyone heard of Savage? It looks to be similar to NS in that it's got a commander who controls real people on the battlefield, ok it's not marines Vs Aliens but the RTS/FPS element is similar...

    yes, this was brought up before (again)...  savage looks like it will be a great game.  

    btw, i'm getting sick of ppl trying to say NS copies this and that.  people try and bring it down by saying it's a carbon copy of something else.  NS is a unique gaming experience in its own right.  i know first hand.

    We've got to a point in the games/mods industry/arena (respectively) where we're bound to have very similar ideas coming up independantly between two teams of creators - it's unavoidable. Hell, every single RTS has a 'commander' - that's who you play as! Who cares if something is 'similar' to NS or NS is 'similar' to something else?

    Secondly, ikonboard needs the vbb feature of allowing the user to view a huge number of posts or threads on one page so as to avoid repeat posts <!--emo&:angry:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':angry:'><!--endemo-->

    The reason why the NS forums are limited to 10 posts per page is due to bandwidth - if you had more per page, then some posts may get viewed that people might not have otherwise looked at (in multi-page topics). It makes sense when you think about it for a while - lots of people use the forums, so it adds up to a lot of bandwidth after a while.
