[wip] Project X Hmg

So, the pistol is on hold for a while because I can't come up with a good way to finish it. However, I think I stumbled across a design theme I really like with it, so I got to work on a HMG that'll be held using the smartgun pose. The only trouble is, everything I do to connect the body of the gun to the back handle looks silly. Any suggestions? I want it to look a little gritty, instead of being all sleek, in keeping with other PX models.

you could make it look more bad@ss by having a ported cylinder connect the shaft to the body... instead of just a smoothed-out thingy. you know.. it'd look like mg42 porting, or KG-9 porting, or what have you. even sten porting. mp34 porting. you get the drill.

Actually I was trying to find a jokeful way to tell you to be more polite. Don't know why I bother though really as you're quite clearly an arsehole.

If fact feh to it. Feh to the NS modelling community. I've stuck around long after it turned into a place full of muppets, where for every sensible model thread there are ten stupid ones. Sick of always helping others when I can while having my own questions ignored. Sick of joke models getting a more positive response than serious models people work hard on. I'm out.

Not the most eloquent exit, but an exit nonetheless.

Maus you don't need to stop modelling because forum is full of "muppets", just don't post WIP threads, but release the model when it is complete with a thread with picture. thats what im gona do..

To be honest, with the way you're behaving, nobody cares about what you think. We like and respect Maus and we treat people with the respect that we'd like to have in return. If you don't like the guy, don't spread it on here, we don't care for your hate, especially if it means driving away community members.

Show some damned decency and have respect for him, he's done far more for the community than you ever have.

just to clear one thing up

It's not this wee spat that's making me leave - it's just the straw that broke the camel's back. What drew me to NS was its friendly community, and a quick look at the forums is all you need to show that the community really isn't all that pleasant any more. There are nice people, sure, but the muppets seem to go unchecked for the most part.

Besides, I barely play NS any more as it is, with good servers being harder to find now things are switching over to Steam. Making models I'm not going to get any use out of is a tad pointless.

Seriously dude, please don't leave, you're one of the best modelers here and have made some great origionals like the Project X res tower.

I'm sorry that it's come to this Maus. But, it's the sad truth unfortunatly.

There are alot of muppets here, not to mention the nubbycaeks.

I can only feel it's going to get worse here nearing the dawn of NS:C and the CS influence it'll have on the community.

If that happens, I'm off aswel.

Sorry to see you go m8, but I'll probably be joining you soon. Some major changes have to be made here, and the NS team just aint making them.
