Think, Skulks will just want to wait outside the Marine base (granted they done have an OBS) and just eat them to get more and more resources. All the while, your other teammates are screaming:

"RES WH0RE! GO GORGE, DROP NODES! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOODE!!"

SC is best suited for last. DC and then MC is the best combination.

Wait. Are you actually attempting to complain about your teammates *denying* any marine expansion outside of their base?

    Woah.

I have to agree with Jaguar here Morrik, letting marines take more than one out post is lethal to SC first aliens. Seeing how aliens cannot destroy outposts, the only method of ridding the land of them is prevention. Sure it requires more manpower, but there is no alternative as effective without going MC / DC first... Unless marines are completely out of luck and somehow let aliens take their outpost.

+walk and cloaking, you can creep past entire turret farms to get behind the TF. How is this not useful ?

Because it's hard-countered by placing an obs or elecing the tf?

It doesn't help too much when there's 0 gorges and everybody is waiting outside the spawn. OBS goes up, SCATTER!

Sensories. Anyone that knows my playstyle knows I'm a sensory first kinda guy. I know how to use the chamber, I know how to set it up.

First, Obs are weak. Its only ONE structure. In a base with a obs and a turret farm, go for the OBS! I once had the pleasure of playing with a group that enjoy trying different tactics for fun. They played game after game of sensory first and told the Marines they were doing it.

We didn't fare that badly. When you play with a team that knows what there weakness is. (An lets face it, the only REAL weakness of a SEN is the marine OBS.) These are the basic tactics we used.

1st) Build sensory in the FIRST couple seconds of the game. (Sensories are one of the quickest chambers to get up.)

2nd) The rushing skulks all cloak walk into the base. (This alone can end the game if the marines are not careful, and completely deadly if they are relocating.)

3rd) Maintain pressure at marine base as they will put up an obs there first.

4th) Try to keep one skulk at the base cloaked as a Obs spy. If he see's one going up he tells his mates and kills the guy constructing it.

5th) If the Marines manage to get an outpost with a obs, as a team rush the obs. When that is gone its gameover for the rest.

Even in games with multiple Obs we found that a paranoid comm is screwing himself if he spends TOO much defeating sensories. It dosn't take very long to get a second hive up and then defense chambers if you control most of the map.

And finally. Sensory first when done right results in a more challenging mid and end game. I am not certain why people feel that they need to win at any cost with the minimal amount of challenge. I like a hard fought game so when its over I can honestly say, "Good game.".

Sensory 1st is just plain fun most of the time. I either cloaking and walk up to marines/tf's or anything that isnt near an obs or isnt electrified, or I get scent of fear and hide in a good spot waiting for marines to come.

The whole problem with sensory is your right, letting them get more then one outpost is LETHAL, one or two slip ups and your screwed.

The obs range is rather limited. just fall back and cover the entrances. There are not so many ways out of any Marine start.
