Ahhh yes, the classic "Sensory Drop to force Res **** to go temp gorge" move. Nothing makes me more mad then when I am the only gorge and I get yelled at by other players who are saving for onos to put up a hive or place 3 DCs so they can pwn as an Onos.
I'll just drop a nice SC and tell them to do it because they wont have regen otherwise. Really makes ppl mad! LOL.

    Like Catpokers' Sig says

I know the reason for this problem... its DC...
If u get DC then u have lerk- and onos- and fade-savers... Build SC or MC and u got some Teamwork to get the 2. hive... Chos they wanna get that DC... and i am not joking about this DC-first-all-time BS... But lets not get to MC is best or SC is best or not eaven DC is best discussions... but wanna hear if some one is with me on this...

ok, yes on rare occassion, with a team off good-to-decent aliens, an SC first can be very fun. There is nothing better than being cloaked outside of rine start, with 5-8 cloaked skulks scaring the hell outta lvl.1 rines for the first 3 min of the game. Lately i havent had tooo much trouble getting at least a few people to gorge with me. I love gorging, i almost always gorge, there is nothing better than getting a OC WOL back by 3 Dc's, and then when those 2-3 rines try to take it down, heal spray the hell outta the wol, while you have 1-2 sneak up from behind them, hehehe

    About Teamwork

I think this might be happening because of old 2.0 versions. There, aliens could get lots of res simply by rushing to mariner base and killing mariners as Skulks. I >> ALWAYS << play as Gorge, except when I have too little res to do anything, and I was getting tired on 2.0 of hearing noobs swearing at me because "I did not for the team" while they were all killing lots of mariners as skulks (and 5 min latter swearing they still didnt have more then 3 RTs and upgrades, all which I got alone). NS 2.0 completelly messed up Alien teamwork because Skulks could own Mariners on early games so actually I realised that you really did get lots of res that way. So ... why bother with teamwork if you can get res alone?

NOW on 2.01, Skulks find difficult to get too much res by killings, but they still think they must save for onos or fade instead of capping res. I actually realised this: When most of your team starts as GORGES and cap res nodes (and if you have too many gorges, some will drop a few chambers to help), Aliens have a big chance of winning the game. However, when they start with the usuall BS about not been Gorge, Alien most likelly dies.

Sometimes I see that 8 out of 12 aliens are gorge on early games, THATS AWESOME, most veteran players just praise the team for that, in like 2 minutes we have 5~6 protected res and then they can start sabing for hive/onos ... but if you are playing with some noobs, they will just start "Hey look a bunch of useless gorges, my team suck" (and we loose because they just dont gorge, and they blaim the gorges not been skulks ...)

So, yes, teamwork is essencial for Aliens NOW in a manner it were not at 2.0, I often blaimed 2.01 versions for crippling aliens but now I realise it was an improvement: Aliend (too) will only win with proper teamwork.

    About first chamber:

I totally agree about the SC THREATENING. Most users will reallise they must work as a team not as a onos (lol). About what is the best chamber, I think it´s really up for a strategy play. You can beat rines with any first-chamber, but obviously the strategies will be completely different. SC is the most HARD to be used on early games for offencive since they are mostly defencive, but as it was already mentioned its great for camping.

SC's are usually near-useless on latter game because of MT, so if you really want to use them, they must be first or second.

DC's benefits are more immediate and more unit oriented, less teamwork oriented, therefore DC's are loved by those who don´t want to play as a team

that's funny abs, because the style of play I get there on average is pretty much the same as the one on most other servers I've thought of as 'good'. The others usually end up with a 5 year old admin spamming the place with all kinds of stupid stuff, teams who won't work together at all (it's like NS quake) or/and have people who scream 'cheat' the minute any player shows even a hint of skill

sure BY in the morning can be awful but I don't play around those times normally anyways so it's not a problem ^^

Wow. Please tell me where you play so I can own you with shottie rushes

You can try it. You don't realize how effective a group of 4 or more Gorges can be to 2 or 3 Marines with shotties. Can we say heal spray?

can we say 1 shotgun blast to the face = dead gorge?

Usually the (if it's a good team) three Defense Chambers are up before they shotgun rush comes. One shotgun blast to the face of a Gorge that doesn't know how to dodge with no Carapace will probably die most likely. However, 4 or 5 Gorges hopping around and healing frantically with Level 3 Carapace = dead Egotistical Shotgun Marines.

I'd like to note that I am optimistic so, that does usually affect my judgement. I have seen this work before, however it doesn't ALWAYS work.
