GAMESFUSION MIGHT STEAL IT!
As seen in this-http://forums.specialistsmod.net/viewtopic.php?t=7959- post on the TS forums, Gamesfusion is obviously stealing, ripping, and claiming models as their own. I reccommend EVERYONE here gives no rights to gamesfusion for this, and boycotts them in every way shape and form if you don't.
Comments
Bottom line: Games Fusion is a bunch of slimebag bootlickers. Don't associate with them.
Yeah, well dodgy, but apparently they've been at it for a while..
(Note: Don't forget to recycle the organic parts you leave behind, some people may need them!)
Na, claim you made them and sell them?

crude, but an effective way to set things straight.

Ya.
Sorry I'm 2 years late, I've never known they were such ****.
I think all the modlers in the CS, TS, NS, and a ton of other communities should sticky a topic that says that anything posted for those mods cannot be used in a fusion pack unless made by games fusion, or posted only on another site(so if there IS a link on a forum, they can't touch it)
I'm noob at all this, but I do remember seeing some mob charging for other peeps work, and the name does sound familiar..I assume some of the more experienced model monkeys around here can confirm whether or not it's the same guys?
Because I'd hate to be slagging innocent peeps, y'know?

Screw em. Slaughter the innocent with the guilty, cause if you miss the guilty, you scare the **** outta them.
... on their premium pay-for-membership scheme.
number two reason we don't have pay for download accounts... your broke, were broke, lets have a party...
Honest version...
If they are stealing, can they justify their "compiling" of free products as a valuable service?
Discuss.?

I suggest someone right up a standard EULA to release NS files with
Yes, they suck.
And , yes, everyone should probably add a "Gamesfusion fluff right off" to their readmes..
It's almost a shame the law ( In my country anyhow ) is unlikely to recognise Digital type copyrights, if that wa a film or book TS Team could have probably sued the arse off them....
Seriously though, regardles of legal technicalities, the guys don't want their work used without credits and that does not seem unreasonable to me. People should respect whoever actually made the thing, it's their property, even if it has been released to the public, y'know?
Fusion seem to be tightrope-walking on things that aint yet illegal, but might be soon, this seems like an incredibly unsafe policy, especially if you just spent the last 12 months or so annoying all the people who might have given you free resources as an initial investment?.
Lets do it! Someone with money grab the pack, and put it on their site, we all download, and not give any more credit than what they did. If they object- we say "Fine, whatever. Can we do this? Oh, wait- why should I pay you that respect, when the people who modeled these didn't get it in the first place? Shove it, GamesFusion"
I Know there's a fair bit of hackjobbing etc, but at least most of the hackers seem to have the decency to mention where the hacks came from in the first place etc....
And that is an important difference.
Now that's a good idea
And Brig has another good point. like a "ALL WORK ON THIS BOARD IS © ITS AUTHORS AND MAY NOT BE USED WITHOUT THEIR EXPLICIT PERMISSION!" As the topic XD Also I like your new av Brig.
However to protect from GamesFusion or other groups such as them in future I suggest that everyone who creates a model/skin/sprite/sound from scratch (converted/copied files wouldn't really count as you are not the copywright holder) distribute it in a self-installing file with an EULA in it (NSIS is good for this: http://www.nullsoft.com/). Perhaps modellers could include an extra .bmp in the model with credits written on it or something
I just wrote this from the top of my head as an idea, maybe someone with better knowledge of legalese could write a proper standard one we could all use:

Every forum should have "resident lawyer" I reckon.
My "legalese" is far from fluent...
IF Gamesfusion have broken / disregarded copyright law, I THINK ( note, think, part ) that would be a criminal rather than civil law issue, especially if they are making cash out of it.
( Also, being in Scotland, laws are a tad different up here...)
If, as I assume, GF is a European company, I have no idea what could be done other than a bad publicity / "hey kids, you can get all this free from ......"campaign..
Any lawyers in the house to clear this up?
