<div class="IPBDescription">(just curious 'cause I don't have steam)</div> In my internet NS server list, I have about 100 servers with filters on (dedicated, not empty, <200 ping).
I don't have steam but I'm curious to know how many NS servers are accessible through it.

"It's not impossible, it's inevitable."
only 5 or 6 servers are full of people by the time i get on (11:30 PM CST)
Few days after 2.0 came out, it jumped to 200-250 with same filtering applied.
Nowawdays, I get 90-100.
I just hope the drop of servers isn't due to people being scared of the steam thing (or because of 2.0X) for leaving the NS community online gaming. Tell me it's because they moved on to steam. Prety please !!! :-(
So now under WonID, I have less servers with 2.0X then what I had with 1.0X !!
True - true: the UK NS scene does appear to have gone down the bog a bit recently. In terms of numbers that is. Can usually find a good game though. Don't have many friends online though so that bit doesn't worry me <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Maybe its cos I'm a marine chomping, res whoring, sensory lovin alien soab !
EDIT. Probably because when I'm playing, most americans are in school <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Wait for the offical NS patch for steam first, silly.
My situation is not an anomoly. All of the regulars on my server have the same issues with steam. My suggestion is to wait it out until the official NS / Steam patch is released.
I'm asking not only for me but for the community of how many NS servers are there in Steam.
No matter what happens, all NS servers will go to Steam.
If there aren't that many servers in Steam or almost no players at all, then how do you expect to have the crossover to it done in a clean and easy way ? The more people and servers there are on Steamed NS servers, the quicker and easier the bugs will be spoted/fixed, the less people will complain about it.
So far, we've had mostly server admins answering my post. Can we have players answering too ?
How many players are playing on Steam ?
Starting small tournaments ?
Training sessions ?
Strategy trainings ?
NS developer teams playing in there and inviting the community to join them ?
The more people play on NS Steamed servers, the faster bugs will be found and reported, the easier the transition will be. Just for that, I think I'll go on steam after all and not wait until the last minute.
Oh yeah, whats up with the damn fugly looking text/font they chose?
Its so fugly and big.

As a player i can say that i have quit playing NS. There is simply no Steam-support for NS. It does not appeas in the "My Games" menu. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Only the following entries are listed:
- Counter-Strike
- Day of Defeat
- Half-Life
- Team Fortress Classic
- Deathmatch Classic
- Opposing Force
- Ricochet
- Dedicated Server
So there is no option to launch and/or update Natural Selection. Hopefully there was only an error during my installation of Steam!? If there was no error, then NS will going down very soon... at the latest when WON will be shut down.
though when i refresh, the amount changes (not much)
i only see (a decent amount of) people on freaks unleashed.
Our server is on steam as well, but my wife and i have to play each other for about 20 minutes before people begin to join
Schwerkraft check out the tech support forum they have it stickied for you to play ns in steam
Eventually it has been said NS will be supported anyway
it would be great if more people started to go over to steam i only had one issue (not steam related) and it was taken care of in the tech support forum
Eventually it has been said NS will be supported anyway

Thanks for the tip. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I will try to read and understand (because my native language is not English).
EDIT: It works! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Guys, I do not want any discussions about how Steam sucks.
I do not want advices about removing Steam.
I do not want any discussions about other games.
If you want to discuss those topics, then start your own thread.
Please stick with the purpose and subject of my thread.
