<div class="IPBDescription">Someone deleted the wrong duplicate.</div> I am running NS 2.0 with Steam, and whenever I try to connect to a server, the attempt fails with this error: Error verifying Steam UserID Ticket (34).

Update: It actually doesn't happen with every server. Some work fine. The one I really want to get on and can't is CofrFR31NS Alien Infest 207.44.180.88:27015. (I have this problem with some other servers as well).

Another Update: I have determined that this happens only with servers running the 2.01 server patch.
As a server patch shouldn't this not effect client's ability to connect?

Why am I getting this message, and how can I fix the problem? I have been away from NS since 1.04 and I want to try the new version! Thanks for the help guys.

P.S.: I posted this last night, but apparently an admin deleted the wrong one of the two (accidentaly double posted, getting lots of errors with forum features like search and post)

I'm 90% certain that that error is the one that you get if you try to use Steam to connect to a non-Steam server. Remember, Steam and WON servers are separate. You can't connect to a Steam server without Steam, and you can't connect to a non-Steam server with Steam. I don't think CoFR has moved to Steam yet, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

    Cheers

Yep, turns out that's the problem. I thought it wasn't because the CoFR website says that they have updated all their servers. Looks like they missed one . . .

Edit: actually, the website says "most," so oh well.
