Crashes

I know ppl hate when ppl ask for help but ive looked in the mapping guidlines, and they dont help as they tell u what u need in the map and not how to do it, ive also looked on multiple tuts but aint found nething about it so can some1 hree help?

Ive made a map it has the ready room with the player starts and the join teams, the map info, and join team spawns, and i have no leaks in the map but when i go in ns and run the map in a LAN game it crashes?, the lvl isnt v large, there arnt any things that cause it to lag, just walls ladders and some glass, so what could be causing it to crash?

Also does it matter if walls overlap becuase at some points ive been unable to avoid it i was wondering if it would cause any problems?

and finally ive looked everywhere but cant find anything that tells me how to set a timer on a door so it will open after a set time (same way the door works on the siege maps) can ne1 help me there?

Thx

    Leaks have nothing to do with a crash in LAN game, but there are plenty of reasons to explain this crash. May you give here a log or any info about it ? What does say HL ? Show us your log (name-of-your-map.log).

    Look in your Half-Life\ns\maps directory and see if you can find no_seige001.bsp

    If it's not there look for C:\Documents and Settings\Stephen Gillespie\Desktop\Ste's Stuff\NS Maps\My NS Maps\no_seige001.bsp then copy and paste it into Half-Life\ns\maps

    I had a crash problem once and i discovered that aaatrigger texture was involved in it. I don't remmeber how exactly but every time i was going in game and i was turning my eyes toward a certain place, the game was crashing. I removed these aaaT (it was a test map) and the game ran correctly.

    you're not using the fgd which came with ns? <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    yes aaatrigger can be no part of your ready room.

    replace it with null

    sometimes teh compilers do screw up your map. try recompiling.

    also if you know how can you show us the hl debug log or not?

    actually this can make NS crash, happened to me a while ago... a 1*1 unit hole in the corner was leaking and made the map crash on load <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    He'll need to upgrade to Merl's 1.7 compiler (he's using ZHLT 2.5.3 according to that log) before null will work.
