Adobe Primere Questions
Ok, so here i have in hand a converted demo file from .dem to .avi format using fraps. a godsend for those who want quick results when converting video. Problem is, I bring this .avi into my bin in primere, place it on the timeline, add my transitions, and export the video... GONE!

The .avi file that i imported seems to have problems when i export the video. when i render everything, before i export it, it looks fine. but the problem happens somewhere in the exporting process. Any settings I can adjust, other types of .dem conversion? Help would be appreciated. You can post here, or e-mail me SHSVidiot@comcast.net Thanks!!!

(Help from the NS team would be GREATLY appreciated since they got their preview video to work, what did you guys use?)

Damn, there was a really good tutorial on www.nsplayer.com but it is down right now. When it comes back up, visit that site and they have a good tutorial for making movies into avi or mpg.

The question isn't making the video into something, I can do that with fraps or another way by using HL's built in movie recorder (which makes 30bpm's a sec) and compiling them using another program.

The question is, "Why in adobe primere does the in game portion of video that i brought to my timeline, and rendered, viewable before i export the final project, but not after?"

Although i do appreciate the help jim

The site has temporarily moved to http://nsplayer.ozgn.com/.

In response to the original post, you may want to check your codec settings and make sure you have an up to date version.

you're probably using a different version than FRAPS 2.0 retail. Other versions use a codec that premiere seems to hate. If you use adobe after effects or videomach or whatever and convert the file to a different codec, and then bring it back into premiere - it should export just fine. I know that you will lose a bit of quality then adding this middle-conversion, but thats the only premiere way will like it

FRAPS 2.0 retail uses a different video codec and solves this problem.
