<div class="IPBDescription">Recruitment poster</div>Something that I've been working on for the past twenty minutes. Didn't come out the way I wanted it, really... I tried various background images and couldn't find one which looked good.

I'm trying to get one with a planet and star in there instead. Perhaps that'll look better.

I like it, the shaddowy thingy(I'm very technical <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> ) on the letters in the picture makes it look a bit weird but I like it.

Very funky.

Glad you guys like it. I'm still working on it (that planet looks a bit fake).

I'm trying to come up with a TSA logo to stamp on it somewhere, but I haven't made any good ones yet(if there's an 'official' one, could somebody point me to it please?).

Yes, there is a official one, but no high-res version, just a texture...
I asked Fam for one in <a href="http://www.natural-selection.org/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=7;t=3788;hl=tsa+logo" target="_blank">this</a> thread. It's not very big but perhaps enough.

I think it would be sweeter if the planet in the background were Earth instead of a generic planet. Maybe the slogan, "Help us fight for Her."

I was thinking the same thing myself, H'Bnayr. Of course, humanity has already spread to other planets in the NS universe, but there's something to be said about using good ol' Earth, homeland of all humanity, as a means of inspiring people to fight for your cause.

:edit: BTW, real_Escobar, nobody can see the picture that you made because it's linked off your hard drive. You either need to find yourself some webspace, upload your picture, then display it on the forums using [.IMG] tags, or attach it to your post using the "Attach file" dialog below where you type in your post.

This is the third one. It's bigger than the last two because I wanted to get in more detail. This has earth as the planet and the TSA logo.

What do you think?

edit (2): I considered putting in 'help us fight for Her'... but is Earth actually under threat in the background story or is it just outlying colonies? I've put Earth in anyway (human homeworld and all that). I think I'm going to have to reread the storyline.

I just realised the text on the first one got messed up - I've fiddled with the layers a bit so now you don't get the odd colours on the text. Not as much anyway.

No, Earth itself isn't being threatened, just outlying colonies and those ships unlucky enough to have overly curious captains. Still, if you're trying to recruit people, you need to sell the whole homeworld thing. You know, "Earth may not be threatened now, but if you don't help us now..." I really like the TSA logo over it, and I still kind of like my, "Fight for Her" slogan (or soemthing similar). But it's your call, ultimately. My only complaint would be the redundancy in your slogans. I think you should have just one slogan, rather than two. Nice and simple, you know?

Llama Killer - I used PSP7 all the way (I can't afford Photoshop - not yet, at least).

H'BNayr - 'Fight for her' sounds a bit vague to me... and it doesn't convey much urgency. I'll think about it.

Why don't I get Photoshop? Compare:

Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7 = £35 on Amazon ($53).

Adobe Photoshop 7 = £525 on Amazon ($799).

Photoshop 6 has been discontinued. And I can't buy the cheaper upgrade because I don't have any other version.

TSA stands for Trans-System-Authority.

I notice none of these posted feature the frontiersmen emblem as described in the world section, introduction, paragraph 1 in bold.

But there are signs of life: this side of the gate is being actively repainted in a gnarly green camo, and a vivid emblem hangs at its apex - a silver hexagon, filled with brilliant blue stars. It is the sign of a new force in the galaxy, and the last chance for the Trans-System Authority. It is the emblem of the Frontiersmen.

Now where does this winged gun/sword thing come into it?
