How Well Does Ns Perform On Your System?

FPS?
I get mixed signals as to how well NS performs. I've read posts from people claiming their GF4 MX400 is getting them a solid 60+ fps, but my experience is the exact opposite. Rather than ask what's wrong (cause I really don't think anything is) I thought I'd poll the NS community and see how my everything stacks up. Please include your FPS during heavy action, light action and nothing but the level, your system specs, your resolution and whether you use AA or AF.
System:
Athlon 2100xp
Radeon 9500 Pro
512mb DDR266
HL resolution
1280x960
No AA or AF
FPS:
No action: 99 (max for HL)
Light action: 50-60
Heavy action: 30-40 (never seems to drop below 30, no matter how hectic things get.)
Also, I don't really see any sort of performance gain from dropping the res. It runs the same at 800x600 as it does at 1600x1200.

FPS drops off pretty quick if I go to higher resolutions.
Mine's maxed all the time at 1280x960 max AA and AF on a slightly overclocked 9500 pro and a 2.2ghz athlon barton (memory at 200mhz).

I think my best so far was 80fps in a 1200 wpoly area.
Worst I've had was 22fps in a 1000wpoly area with something like 60 buildings in my view...
XP 2500+
1024 megs DDR400
GeForce 4 Ti4800
I get a solid 60fps in any situation running 4x AA at 1280x960. I've never seen it drop below 60fps even in a crowded marine base while under attack.
AMD XP 2400

My fps has been getting pretty low lately though, i dunno why

Your problem may be that TruForm is enabled. It's a big hit, and only gets bigger as action intensifies. In-game, in the console type 'ati_npatch 0' to turn it off. On my rig, I get a fairly solid 99fps at 1600x1200x32 so long as it's off. Dropped to around your estimates when I installed Steam, and didn't realize that it reset the defaults... and ati_npatch defaults to 1.
My fps stays pretty consistently between 80 and 99 @ 1600x1200 res.

You must have special POWARS
I can get anything from 20-70 FPS ... In heavy combat I get around 20 FPS, in a empty RR I can get 70 .. on average I get between 30-40 FPS

Radeon 9700 pro (thanks Talesin )
Athlon 1800+ (i.e, 1533mhz)

70-80 just running around
50-60ish in action
Lowest ever, about 35 (but then I haven't even had it a week yet)
With the same system on a Radeon 7000 I got
60-70 in the ready room
40-50 normally
High 30's-low 40's in action
Lowest ever 11 (in heavy action of course)
Talesin, looks like mine is slightly better, but slightly worse performance... bah, must be hax
