    Well, I discovered a really stupid error in my page. Why it affects some people and not others is beyond me, but this error is most likely what has been corrupting some people's fricking downloads. Try downloading the file one more time. If it doesn't work, I can be found hanging from the rafters.

    And also, the light is beeing fixed when I walk out my door(to school) in about 10 minutes.
    Have set up more lights, and it will be ok(I'm also gonna compile with full VIS and RAD)

    EDIT: Erias, file is still corrupt.. so, ehm.. could you just set up all the pictures and then we could just put them into a wad ourselfs? That would be good..

    Pretty cool. I wouldn't use those "join" signs though... it is widely understood that the ready room is for joining teams <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The RR itself looks huge. I wouldn't make it that large.

    Now that the lights have been adjusted the ready room is looking very nice.

    The only critiscm is the JOIN in green text. This may confuse some NS players and really is not needed. Although it is a new idea, I feel it would not be missed.

    Ok, I'm compiling the map now, and I have removed the "join" signs, I have also finished the "Communications Array" hive.
    Second, I have discovered that I have to be careful using to much light, 'cause of "Exceeded MAX_PATHCES" error <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> .. (I'll just have to turn up the gamma a little bit, remove some lights and turn up the values in my lights.rad file, then it's going to be ok I think..)

    I will have to do ALL the lightning in the entire map(except the RR) all over again..

    NEWS!(again): I have now redone much of thelightning, not compiled it yet tho, that's 'cause I have a little more work that has to be done with the lightning. Other than that I have doubled all the values(Light strenght) in my lights.rad file and set gamma to the same as my sensitivity, 0.9

    The number of patches doesn't depend upon the number of lights, it depends upon the total surface area of the map. Each surface is broken into lighting patches so that their light values can be determined. The size of each patch is affected by the face's texture scale, but there's a compile switch to take off that effect.

    OMG! My lights work excellent after I redid them, and read something about MAX_PATCHES @ some error site.. So, the problem of mine all the time was: hadn't got -sparse in my RAD...
    But now I can at least continue my work!

    Back on those goddamned textures... I changed the download to a more default method. They really should be fixed. If they aren't, then you are running one really f**ked up copy of Internet Exploder, and I suggest you try a <i>proper</i> browser, like Opera or a Mozilla derivative.

    This is the last time I beat my skull over this. If the download is corrupt, tough beans.

    OK, now the wad works.. I'll use the support texture #1 and one of the walls, you will get lots of credit.

    NEWS: Communications array hive: DONE! But no pictures before the whole layout is ready, 'cause I'm too lazy to waste time on that <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.
    I have found myself a lightning theme that I will use all over the map, some parts will have different lightning from the theme and the hives will be a bit dark(To get the right atmosphere).

    Challenger has made me a wall texture, a floor texture(haven't gotten that one yet) and I think he will do a ceiling texture for me, so.. ehm.

    Weee, finally I got my **** out of this chair(had to go to school <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) so I could compile the map!
    So you guys get to see the screenshots of the map, with some changes of course.
    Changelog:

    - Set up the brightness on every single light_spot(from 200 to 400).
    - Added so there isn't a generator thing in the MS, but only i platform with the res node on it.
    - New textures some places, some are just switched with the gritty ones I got from Erias(THANK YOU).
    - Added red lightning in ventilation.

    The light_spots in the hives will get their brightness lowered, so don't critisise that.

    Hello people. I see you have no interest in my map anymore.
    Here is the layout so far:

    This is about 59% of the layout.
    Will get a bit better when i got more ways into both hive and have added the last hive.

    Some areas are really simple, with not so great looking brushwork. It needs sexifying.

    Ditto. And in one hive you dont have func_illusionary on brushes, so their blue backround show.

    make it look like something happened there and that it really has been over run and wrecked by kharaa. if thats 59% your map still may be really small. marines are also going to have a field day with those two sets of double nodes.
