It's great. I think that you should mention fighting against fades and onos with it, though.

The problem with that is that it basically (remember, this is for newbies) requires you to stand still and watch others die. I DID want to include that, but really, take fighting the fade. Short of "Move your **** and aim really well" what can I say? Any help you can give would be nice though.

This is actually pretty funny, but I cant change it *laughs* My co-site runner, Oblivion, has the password and I dont. I sent him an email recently, so hopefully he'll answer soon.

I have been wanting something like this.

I am a very experienced CS player. So you do not have to tell me about tapping and 2 shot bursts. Or so you would think. Come to think of it I must cofess to doing the spray n' pray thing. No wonder I get the crap beaten our of me

What about hit-boxes? Is a hit a hit. Or is there something like a head-shot i CS?

There are no increased damage zones in NS, every hit counts the same.

Hit boxes are not necessarily as large as you would thing, in practice, aiming for the center will be a good idea (especially for spray and pray).
Especially Onos and Lerks have much smaller hitboxes than one might think.

Yeah, it's tough to actually give anymore pointers than that. Maybe they'll have to learn it by themselves...

Why burst fire with the LMG? Unlike CS, there is barely any recoil...

Erm, theres no recoil at all....

Your right though, as long as you can track properly theres little point in burst firing.

"Your right though, as long as you can track properly theres little point in burst firing. "

And with your own question you answer it. AS LONG AS YOU CAN TRACK PROPERLY. The VAST majority of people I see play can't track. Also, the cone of fire in NS increases after about 4-5 shots. It's not THAT noticible, but it does happen. I recommend bursts because, as in real combit, it:
Is more accurate.
Is easier to use when your aim isnt great.
Conserves ammo.
Make you able to live through multiple incursions, instead of needing 50 rounds every time.

And no, there are NO hitbox areas you should aim for. I shoot centre mass, but only because I'm more likely to hit

PS-There IS recoil, it's just realistic recoil - as in, very light, and doesnt make you look straight up. Unlike what games such as DoD would have you think, guns dont point more and more upwards as you fire them. The heavier ones simply weigh too much to kick.

without recoil-resisting flashhiders (which they didn't have in ww2), the alignment of the typical gun (long arm or pistol) forces upward recoil, always.

because the pistol grip of a gun like, say, a thompson is located BENEATH the body of the gun, upon shooting, the gun first

1) recoils backwards against your hand
2) your hand turns upward to compensate the recoil

this forces muzzle climb.

You should say that the shotgun eats through heavier evolutions like a hot knife through butter. That because the shotgun damages so heavily in one shot, that even if your opponent is using redemption, it won't kick in in time.

Another change you should make is about the pistol. You should mention somewhere that the pistol has NO recoil, also if you got your target zeroed, you should expend every single bullet on that target or until its dead very quickly. Can be thought of as a AWM of NS really. 200-260 (?) damage.

With the LMG, burst firing does nothing to the recoil, the bullet hit in the firing cone randomly. What it does help with is ammo conservation and visibility. The lmg has such a large muzzle flash, it will help to no end if you stop every 5-10 rounds. Unless they are coming staight at you then all you have to do is spary and pray (;
