<div class="IPBDescription">just a thought</div> how bout making spiders for aliens...u could have like a big egg sack for the hive...and diff breeds of spiders for all the aliens...like

tarantula:gorge (or some kind of spitting spider if there is one)

jumping spider: skulk

some type of flying spider creation: lerk

black widow: fade

then a big **** spider: onos

i dunno just a thought...might be interesting if someone wants to take the time and do it...

Dang and I thought I was the only one who still remembered Gloom. That game was mad awesome and I thought of it the first time I played Natural Selection. A spider conversion of the aliens would rock though.

yea me and my friend (0xff) were just looking up diff spiders...and i saw that birdeater..and WOW...dont wanna see one of those in a dark ally...but anyways..i think this mod would be a nice treat to the ns community..i just dont know what to make for a lerk replacement..thats the only problem...unless someone comes up with mutant spider things and makes one that can fly...i think it would be pretty intense to see a spider coming down a dark hallway after a marine ...cause face it...spiders are just ewwy <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'>

Tho considering the Arachnid animations are diabolical, I don't see much hope for the spiders.

I remember on time in the 7th grade in Science class that we had reading time or something was going on. But I was reading this National Geographic and then I turned a page and it showed a VERY upclose zoom of a spiders face where you could see it's 5871051 eyes and such. I immediattly freaked out shut the magazine and chucked it ALL the way across my class room.

I sat in the very left 1st row and I chucked it all the way to the right of the class room..hahaha..everybody was looking at me and was like "wt-f." Then I said something around "It had a zoom up view of a spider on it."

It doesn't really matter it would still look evil in this pack. But out of place, I believe trying to create the bird eater would be the best for an onos seeing as they have a span bigger than a dinner plate in real life, and one of the biggest spiders around.

I think spiders would be a good idea for skulks, gorges and onos but lerks and fades are still kinda a problem unless you giv the spider wings and make them stand on 2 legs <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>

lerks would be fine, because most of the time a lerk flys' low and not to the cieling unless under attack. so u could always add wings i mean its a game not a realistic game... but the fade would be the biggest problem because the fades hitboxes are a standing gordon freeman (so i hear) and spiders practically are on the ground so idk how u could model it <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>

EDIT: Unless you just keep the fade the way it is, and add in more eyes and change the mouth to match a spiders with 2 little hands on either side to replace the spikes <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>
