It comes back all the time!
OK,this has been plaguing my PC for some time already,so bear with me....

I have Quicktime installed,and as we know,it writes into the registry so that it auto-starts when the PC is loaded,but the thing is....I DON'T need it to autostart

So I remove it and the next time I reboot,it's there again!I checked Quicktime settings,all ok,and yet it still loads itself everytime I turon on my PC or reboot it

So yeah,can someone help me and tell me why this keeps happening?? After that you get to beat me with big iron pipes!! (YAY!)

    you removed the autostart from registry?

    there are 4 places a program can autostart itself from:
    2 from registry (which should be removed by the program itself, has it that option),
    one from a startup folder inside your start menu,
    and one from msconfig->startup

    Get msconfig from win XP here and extract the msconfig.exe to the winnt system32 folder (C:\winnt\system32\). Then just run it from the run command thingy in the start menu. That will let you turn off the quicktime start-up agent thing.
