Are These Anime Series Any Good?
Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040
Bubblegum Crisis (Old ones)
Spawn (I've saw quite a few and enjoyed it)
Hellsing
Berserk
Are there any other must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must must own anime series out there? If you guys can agree on a couple of good ones I'll probably go for them <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I might buy some films too, any <b>must have</b> suggestions?

one of the early big govt. tech conspiracy animes.
old ones are fun for novelty and story value, new ones for story (kinda) animation (yes) and hawtness (yes).
edit: LOL!!LOL!O!LO!!!L!!!O!!!
POST 1111!!!!!!ONE
and "Tigun" is gold if you havnt seen it.
Action? Noir. Good stuff =}
I've been reading "One Piece" manga and I must say, it's pretty funny! If you want some comedy without the ecchi, read (or watch) One Piece ^^.
funny anime. kinda perverted humor, but nothing too bad. 27 episodes i think. first half is really funny, but it gets kinda mushy at the end...
and if you're gonan go for movies... Akira is always a good movie to watch.
Never saw Spawn.
Hellsing. If you own this i'll find where you live and be your bestest friend in the whole world. Then i'll steal the DVD's. Hey bestest buuuudddy.
Berserk. This guy uses a sword that is bigger then Cloud's in FFVII. And he's good with it. Very good choice.
Akira is a goood movie to own, though it is weird.
Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite movies. Get it and love it, it's by the guy who did Spirited Away.
Hope someone here heard about it.
<!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Berserk boxset isn't released yet and Hellsing only has 13 episodes, charged at full price... So I don't know if I want to buy it.
it fun action with some decent plot and ALOT of fanservice <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Spawn: Rather good actualy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> (its got the real spawn plot, cool animation, great fights <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->)
Hellsing: meh, makes better amvs then an anime. Its got good fight seens, but the plot is just to silly (it takes itself very seriously)
I meen, I have to point out that most people who have it as one of their favs also love DBZ (nuf said in my book)
Berserk:
Again, big guy, huge sword.... notmuch else
watched a few eps and just wasn't feeling it (it was also one of the first animes I ever watched)
now, for those that hold a special place in my heart:
Nadesio: Fun, Funny, GOOD plot(like realy fun), Good ending (alot of americans have issues with anime endingd), fun movie follow up. 0 angst (that aint a joke). Note, it is not compleatly light and fluffy, hit has its serious moments, but it is still fun.
ANY THING Miyazaki
Mononoke, spirited away, nausica, Laputa, My Neighbor Totoro, Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro
ones I have yet to see:
Kiki's Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, Howl's Moving Castle(not yet released in the US)
They all have 'similar' feels to them. Again all very fun and very touching (well not lupin <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)
bubblegum 2040 and the original are great ^^
Spawn is super dark and creepy but cool
oh! and spirited away is showing at one of the cinemas near me this weekend, a whole big group of us is getting together just to go see it XD
porco rosso is sad but sweet while kiki's delivery service is just fun to watch =3
If you ever want something that'll make you cry just watch 'Grave of the Fireflies'. It's so upsetting and emotional it's almost cruel <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
<b>More Anime Edit:</b> here's some stuff I'd definitely advise watching some time or another even if you don't buy it...
<i>You're under arrest</i>
<i>Martian Successor Nadesico</i> (like thansal mentioned, this one is really cool ^^ )
<i>Rurouni Kenshin</i> (also referred to as samurai X, though the ones in that are far more serious and prequel the actual Kenshin series and movie storywise)
<i>Dragon Half</i> (this is a great giggle <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> )
<i>Cyber City</i> (Classic! )
<i>Outlaw Star</i>
<i>Cowboy Bebop</i> (Jazzy and stylish)
<i>Jin-Roh</i> (Strange, reflective, depressing but ultimately very cool o.O )
<i>All the Miyaki films thansal mentioned</i> (Especially Laputa and Nausica =D )
speaking of which.. hellsing really has only a handful of "fight" scenes, and most of them are really short; plot is ok, but not really developed. this series is all about the characters (and their bada$$ness)
- Series -
Bubblegum Crisis 2040
Hellsing (if I can find it cheap, not paying full price for 13 episodes)
Spawn
- Films -
Vampire Hunter D
Guyver 1 and 2 (My friend seems to think he saw it on TV years and years ago and can't remember the name, but thinks it's guyver.)
End of Evangelion (I've saw all the series.)
Tekken (total hunch, cos I liked the games <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->)
I will either buy a series or a few films. Spawn is cheap, so I could buy that and something else.
BGC2040 was a decent series. Mostly I enjoyed the soundtrack.
Hellsing was fun, but had a rather unsatisfying ending... it's a very stylistic anime that's just eyecandy, really.
Series I would absolutely recommend are Cowboy Bebop, the Memories OVA (not sure if this was released in the States or not), Grave of the Fireflies, the Rurouni Kenshin OVA (NOT the television series), Please Save My Earth, and Macross Plus.
At the moment I'm watching Koukaku Kidoutai's television series "Stand Alone Complex" and enjoying it immensely, but I'm a big fan of Shirow and police action in general. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> Also Macross Zero, but it's being released at a horrendously slow rate. I don't believe either is released outside of Japan yet.
I find that almost everyone enjoys Trigun. I preferred the comics, but the television series wasn't bad. I also liked Tekkaman Blade II, Escaflowne (both television & movie), and Evangelion quite a bit.
My uncle also recommended an anime movie called Blue Submarine No. 6. I've never seen it yet, but it sounds really cool.
1.) Outlaw star
2.) cowboy bebop
3.) the original dragonball movies dubbed but not edited into english
2.) cowboy bebop <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Yes and yes.
AKIRA's awesome as well.
I didn't catch the name, but its on at like midnight and the basic plot is a girl is traped back in 1800s Japan and has some kind of Jewel.
There is this Half Human, Half Cat deamon guy...
I don't know.. I am going to have to find out, it was kinda cool!
I'll get back with the name in an EDIT.
[Edit]
Yep thats the one its called
INUYASHA
Its pritty cool!
I'm gonna watch it tomorrow at 11:00 and 11:30.
Inu-Yasha? =D

Yeah, if you don't mind the terrible Animation, it's pretty fun to watch at night.
- Considering -
Bubblegum Crisis 2040 (Boxset)
Hellsing (Boxset)
Spawn (Boxset, I think)
Vampire Hunter D
Guyver 1 and 2
End of Evangelion
Tekken
- Future Possibilities -
Escaflowne (Boxset)
Rurouni Kenshin (Boxset)
Cowboy Bebop (Boxset)
Full Metal Panic (Buy seperately)
I don't know... That girl is a bit of a slut!
or at the least a ****-tease
I am currently having a lot of fun with the Series Naruto, by Masashi Kishimoto.
Ninjas > All.
/Edit
Oh, and All Dragon Ball Anime is Crap.
The Dragon Ball Manga, however, is great.
I own it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> 8 DVD box set.

Nice, how much does it cost? I've been thinking about buying it.
Hellsing and Berserk rock! Hellsing is my all time favorite anime (replaced Trigun, but Trigun is still a close 2nd)
